UGH, this weather sucks!!! I'm so tired of it
I have to go to a training thing in Alviso today, 4-7:30. It's for this field trip I'm going to for DD7's class. The school got some sort of grant, so the 1st grade gets to do a fieldtrip to the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge. I'm just hoping the roads won't be a mess
All that talk of hockey tickets reminded me of friends who are allabout Disneyland park hopper prices but then pay $150 for one night of hockey? And that's not including food parking drinks etc. Not saying I don't like my sports games, it's totally fun to go, but for what you get dollar for dollar I think that's the real rip-off, not Disney
We went to 2 SF Giants game last year, it ends up costing in the hundreds for a family when you factor in all you spend ($30 for parking!!!! $12 for nachos that are just chips and nacho cheese sauce - unlike the fabulous nachos you get at WhiteWater snacks for less money!!!). I'm just sayin'

Hi Tania!
I don't envy you having to go out on the roads for a meeting. I am going out as little as possible. We have had over half an inch of rain today and before it started we had a flood watch in town. Where we are is pretty safe but the area where the girls go to school floods.
I agree about the price of sporting events. I think that I am glad Scotty likes a sport that is free to watch.
Ugh, all this talk about bad weather everywhere is depressing. It finally stopped snowing here, but it's still grey and foggy. Dillon's car is still stuck, so he took mine again, which means I am stuck in the house as well. Cleaning the bathroom could be what my day consists of too! Lol.
And yes, hockey games are expensive when you factor all that stuff in. Mostly food and parking are where it adds up really bad. Most of the time when we get tickets, we get them given to us by co-workers who can't go or whatever. So we don't often spend a lot of money on the tickets.
Now concerts on the other hand....I spent $320 on 3 tickets to U2 and ended up giving them to my Dad for Christmas cause we can't go. The concert was originally supposed to be last June, but then Bono had that back surgery or whatever so it got postponed to this June, and that's when I am due, lol.
Hi Andrea!! Concerts are over priced, but ironically the ones my kids have been going to have been cheap. The Aaron Gillespie concert the girls went to on Sunday was free. And the Travie McCoy one they are going to on April first is $17. I think they are good priced.
