UGH, this weather sucks!!! I'm so tired of it :sad2:

I have to go to a training thing in Alviso today, 4-7:30. It's for this field trip I'm going to for DD7's class. The school got some sort of grant, so the 1st grade gets to do a fieldtrip to the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge. I'm just hoping the roads won't be a mess :scared1:

All that talk of hockey tickets reminded me of friends who are all  about Disneyland park hopper prices but then pay $150 for one night of hockey? And that's not including food parking drinks etc. Not saying I don't like my sports games, it's totally fun to go, but for what you get dollar for dollar I think that's the real rip-off, not Disney :rotfl: We went to 2 SF Giants game last year, it ends up costing in the hundreds for a family when you factor in all you spend ($30 for parking!!!! $12 for nachos that are just chips and nacho cheese sauce - unlike the fabulous nachos you get at WhiteWater snacks for less money!!!). I'm just sayin' :rolleyes1

Hi Tania!

I don't envy you having to go out on the roads for a meeting. I am going out as little as possible. We have had over half an inch of rain today and before it started we had a flood watch in town. Where we are is pretty safe but the area where the girls go to school floods.

I agree about the price of sporting events. I think that I am glad Scotty likes a sport that is free to watch.

Ugh, all this talk about bad weather everywhere is depressing. It finally stopped snowing here, but it's still grey and foggy. Dillon's car is still stuck, so he took mine again, which means I am stuck in the house as well. Cleaning the bathroom could be what my day consists of too! Lol.

And yes, hockey games are expensive when you factor all that stuff in. Mostly food and parking are where it adds up really bad. Most of the time when we get tickets, we get them given to us by co-workers who can't go or whatever. So we don't often spend a lot of money on the tickets.

Now concerts on the other hand....I spent $320 on 3 tickets to U2 and ended up giving them to my Dad for Christmas cause we can't go. The concert was originally supposed to be last June, but then Bono had that back surgery or whatever so it got postponed to this June, and that's when I am due, lol.

Hi Andrea!! Concerts are over priced, but ironically the ones my kids have been going to have been cheap. The Aaron Gillespie concert the girls went to on Sunday was free. And the Travie McCoy one they are going to on April first is $17. I think they are good priced.

Cheap concerts are nice! I like Travie McCoy, I hope they enjoy him!

Some concerts I go to have been cheap. I don't think i've spent more than $20 to see Social Code, and I've seen them probably 6 or 7 times, lol. They are local so it's easy to see them. New Years last year when we saw Social Code and Shinedown was only $25, so I thought that was good too. I like a lot of big bands and unfortunately they can get pricey sometimes. Nickelback was $80 last time. They've never been that high for them before so it was kind of a shocker. I think the most I've ever paid for a concert was $140 for Eric Clapton. He has been an idol of pretty much everyone in our family for years and years, and it was a big thing for us to see him.

Normally spending that kind of money on something would seem ridiculous to me, but I love seeing a good show.

Pete Wentz's new band Black Cards are also playing with Travie and a couple of other bands.

I think that seeing Eric Clapton is worth more than these other bands though.

Travie does a song with Bruno Mars that I love. Plus he's got a couple others out that I like too. I didn't know Pete had another band.

Eric Clapton was great, and I was glad I got to see him. I love classic rock style shows and there are so many legends I would love to see. My brother got to see Tom Petty last year, and I was so jealous, lol. Plus I want to see some older bands like Aerosmith and Van Halen. I think those shows would be amazing.

Are you talking about Billionaire? At least I think that is what it is called. Travie wrote that for Pete Wentz son Bronx. Little trivia.

Here is the Black Cards.

Now it is time to go get the girls. I may be on while I am waiting otherwise I will be on later after I get home.

That's the song. Did not know that was what it was about. Cool trivia!

That link won't let me click on it.

Pssst, Andrea, your link doesn't work in the US. Is that the Nickelback song though? I'm with you then, I love that song.

Doesn't work in the US??? That is weird. And yeah, that's the Nickelback song. Not a lot of songs bring tears to my eyes, but that one sometimes does.

Hi Jessica!!

Andrea, search Black Cards on youtube.

Yeah, it said something about the uploader not making it available in my country ;)

And hi Michele.

5 more days until Tangled!!! It's been a while since I've been this excited about a movie being released on DVD. Well other than the Twilight movies.

I'm excited for it! I need to go see if they're offering another coupon for it and what the prices will be at different locations. I usually get them at Target with my coupon and discount but if I can get it cheaper somewhere else I will.

so along the lines of all the bad weather seemingly everywhere a Diser resides the last few days... I just picked up Colton from school and he asked me why I was cranky and I told him I want real spring with green grass and lilacs and sunshine. so the little devil just smiled and started to sing..

Zipideedoodah Zipideeay my oh my what a wonderful day PLENTY OF SUNSHINE HEADED YOUR WAY etc...Then he said now do you feel better mom? Funny thing I did...I just have to remember no matter how bad the weather is outside spring will eventually arrive...EVENTUALLY being the operative word this year... but there is plenty of sunshine coming our way EVENTUALLY

I've been waiting for Disney Movie Rewards to put out a coupon, but nothing yet. The DS site has a $10 off thing if you pre-order, but then shipping pretty much adds that $10 back on for me, lol. But you get the lithographs, which I used to collect.

Jessica read the text messages I just sent you.

That is a great way of looking at it, but the word eventually gets a little old after a while, lol. But at least your son has a way to try and cheer you up! That is cute.
