Hello!! Any Missouri DVCers?????

I understand! Have you been on a Disney cruise? We did the 3 day in 2004 and the 7 night western this past May. They were both AWESOME!

DH and I both love Disney too and really don't have much desire to vacation anywhere else. Been there, done that. DD, however, would love to go to New York City and Washington D.C. sometime so I might tag along with her. But not if it meant I would have to give up one of my trips to Disney!!!! LOL!

No Disney cruises, I just can't spend the money on them. Perhaps one day we will, but nothing in the near future. We are doing the Freedom of the Seas in 08 and I can't wait.

We have to wait 6 months :hourglass before we go back.
Taking family to VB and then Boardwalk for a couple of nights.

Hixski let us know how your trip goes, especially about VB.

Thanks! Go Mizzou!

Got back last night. I am now at work and that is as back to reality as you can get. :rotfl2:

WDW was wonderful. This was our first time home to BCV. It was awesome. DH and I loved the fact that we walked out of BCV and could walk right into Epcot. DH bought a half yard of beer from Rose and Crown on the first night and carried it around all week to refill pretty cheap. He could have probably sold dozens from folks asking him where he got it. I on the other hand had to have a frozen margarita at least once a night from Mexico. All the parks were great. Just like I remember them. We hadn't been for a few years so it was pretty special with some of the new things we hadn't seen.

Went to VB from WDW on Saturday. That place is gorgeous. We had an inn room overlooking the pool and ocean. What a view. We went to restaurants in Sebastian. It is closer to the resort than Vero Beach. Ate tons of seafood and just lay around the pool in the day. It was very relaxing. I would highly recommend VB. It was a great way to end our vacation after the commando pace at WDW. DH says anytime we go to WDW we are going to do a VB add on too. :thumbsup2

Hiya!

I don't usually hang out on the DVC board but I happened to wander by and see this thread...

The hubby and I live in OFallon, MO - seems like there are a lot of us from St. Charles County.

We've been DVC members since 2002 (Beach Club Villas and than addonitis at Saratoga Springs). We've used points to stay in Washington DC and take a 7-night Disney Cruise as well as spending time at WDW.

We go back next month for the first time in two years and will spend 3 nights at SSR before moving over to BCV for a week. We love the Food & Wine Festival and that's one reason why we almost always end up in Florida in October.

See ya'll around!

Wecome back :) Glad you had a great trip. You can get the 1/2 yard of beer from the R&C and get it refilled all week? How much are the refills?

The initial 1/2 yard was I believe $12.50. You could then refill for $7.50. They hold 28 ounces so that was a really good deal. I should point out that you can only get your refill at R&C. My Bud Select DH had no problem drinking Bass Ale all week. :rotfl2:

Welcome Back, Hixski! I am glad you had a good time at both BCV and VB. We will be at BCV the end of October!

Did you use ME and, if so, did you like it? Also, did you use any of the online grocers? We are going to be doing both for the first time next month. Usually, we rent a car and do our own grocery shopping.

Thanks!

We drove down so we did not use ME. It was just DH and I so we had the dining plan and did not use any of the grocers. We did use the Marketplace in BCV for muffins every morning for breakfast. They were really good and fresh. :sunny:

Isn't it nice to be able to go with just DH? We usually do that in October but this year our DD, who is a senior in college, is going with us as next year she'll be teaching.

Thanks!

Hi Gang! KC DVC'er here. Just got back last week from our first SSR stay (although we've been members for 3 years). It was wonderful. Our two year old son had a blast.

Getting ready to go back to Orlando tomorrow for business. Weird, since I was just there. Will be strange not boarding the Mickey bus, but rather, renting a car.

How was MNSSHP? Did you guys dress up? I can't wait until next year when we can go too :) it will be my first one

Hey guys!

I'm not an owner, but I've become addicted to renting points. Close enough? :)

I work in Branson, but live in Kimberling City.

I just knew there were alot of us out there. We will even take close to Missouri. When we were in WDW most folks we talked with were from Boston and New York. Folks from the Midwest were few and far between. So everyone check in. If you are close to Missouri we will take you. Renting on points is ok too. But if you rent come to the dark side and become a true Missouri DVCer. :rotfl2:

Come to the darkside .. we have cookies (and Mickey!!)

:lmao: :lmao:

I don't know where I heard/read that but I thought it was funny!

Same here....everyone we meet seems to be from Jersey. Although a few years ago, we ran into a guy my DH works with. Actually it was funny because I had never met them but while waiting in line for a ride ended up having a conversation with this lady and her 3 kids, come to find out they were from KC. When we got off the ride I was telling DH...he looks at me and laughs. He says yah I know I work with her DH, we were over there talking (they didn't want to go on the kiddie rides).

It's strange that you always seem to see someone from your home town. While we were there, our friends who were traveling with us saw a co-worker.

And, last year, I was in Moscow, Russia, at a hotel by the airport. I heard another person speaking English, so I struck up a conversation. Turns out, he lives in Lenexa, KS (which is in the KC Metro area). I go halfway around the world and meet a guy from my town.

When we went on our Cruise in 2004, my DS (then 5) made a freind in the kids club that we ended up seeing boarding our plane when returning home. Come to find out, he lived in Kearney, MO....the next town over from us. I teased him that he went a thousand miles away to meet a freind 15 minutes away. They sat by each other on the way home, it was rather cute.

Bumping...I know there are more of us out there. :thumbsup2
