Hi Everyone,
Well not to bore everyone with my life trama - but in August my son(adopted from Russia) had a full blown mental breakdown!! He went totally out of control - put holes in the walls tried to throw our cat out the window, pulled his curtains and rods off the wall took every stitch of clothing he owned and through it on the floor - our house looked like a hurricane went through it! Well you ask why did I not stop him - every time I tried to hold him to stop him he thrashed sooo much I was afraid I was going to hurt him so I called Hubby and our Social worker(the lady who matched us to Sasha) and it was decided he needed to go to the hospital and from there he was admitted to a childrens psych ward for 3 weeks and since he has been home its been constant supervision, therapy appts etc. He was(in the hospital) diagnosed with RAD (reactive attachment disorder) and PTSS(post traumatic stress syndrome) We are S-L-O-W-L-Y coming along but life is far from normal! Docs/Therapist say it will probably be 2 years before we see consistant/permanant change. It's so weird - if you meet him he is pleasant polite fun well behaved but only with casual aquaintances(sp). At home its a shot in the dark what will set him off. But we will survive and Sasha will learn to bond with us and learn how to deal with his fears and anger.
Well anyways I almost had that 20lb clippie --ounces away and then life threw me a curve ball - but I still can keep my 15lb clippie - I just wish it was 30lbs
.
Well I am back - soon to be gone(To WDW) - then I'll get back on track - I don't plan to PIG OUT on my vacation but I don't plan to "diet" either - I hope to stay the same.
Its GOOD to be back!
