One of my DD's friends is talking about getting a Helix haircut. It is supposed to be a hair cut using a special pair of scissors that turns straight hair into wavy/curly hair. I did some searches on Google images, and couldn't really get an idea of how good or bad it looks. Anyone ever have one? Was it something you would do again or is it overrated and overpriced?

I remember this being a big deal back when I branched off and opened my shop in '94. Stylists were paying big bucks for training and the scissors and passing it on to the client. I'd say it was big in NY and Chicago long befre it got here. It is nothing new.
