Helicopters flying around today??

We have seen several helicopters flying all over today. Noticed one when we left the resort this morning. We've spent the day at Epcot and HS and have seen 4-5 in the area. In all the times I've been here I don't think I've ever seen any. Anyone know if a reason they are close by?? Just curious.

I read that Iger was announcing the construction of Star Wars Land in April. I wonder if that has anything to do with the helicopters, they may be getting an idea of where the land is going to be built.

Helicopters are always flying over the parks and around MK. It's from the local helicopter tours. We see them all the time every time we go. They also fly over Disney Springs, Sea World, and Universal/IoA

From what I remember only MK is the no fly over. They can only go the perimeter. They fly over the other 3 Disney parks

What CA said below, MK is a no go for flying up to I believe 10,000 feet. The other parks and areas on property are fair game.

I'd never noticed a helicopter in the sky until our trip last August - and then there were tons, every day. It was annoying to say the least. Between all the helicopters and the skywriting crap, the air over WDW is full of visual pollution. I think they should build a dome over it all

They may have been news helicopters or even med flights.

We are at Sheraton Vistana Resort and as I understand, it is inside the three mile perimeter covered by the FAA Temporary Flight Restriction (that has been permanent since just after 9/11. That flight restriction is from the surface to 3000'. So how and why are these helicopters flying so close to WDW and definitely much lower than 3000'?

Touring helicopters are located in several locations and police helicopters monitor traffic.
