Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Not really based on the description it will be a 2 QB room on either the Atrium CL level or the Tower Club floor aka 14th (with no view of the Atrium in the A-Frame). The (2) 2 QB rooms are included in the general group of Resort CL rooms.

Does that mean if I book the Resort View room above it could be either? Like it does not specifically reserve Atrium CL or Tower Club?

I’m really leaning toward booking that, just trying to make sure I understand our options. I’d call to ask but sometimes they don’t have the most accurate answers.

Thanks again for your help! It’s not easy to figure out from the WDW site lol. I found a few review articles here and there, but mostly not current or thorough on the differences.

Yes, that’s what it means. The 14th floor is mostly suites. There are only 3 resort view, 2 bed rooms there. As Dave mentioned, 1 is an accessible room, 1 is attached to a suite & 1 is a lake view. Those rooms are all randomly assigned. There are many more resort view rooms on the Atrium Club level. You can of course request a room on 14, but no guarantee. So be prepared for either floor of you book that room.

CL gurus- need your advice. Planning a last minute trip in March. Trying to use my bb but the only CL options are AKL or CR RV atrium. 2 adults/2 tweens. CR is appealing due to location and that 5th sleeper. Hubby wants to see animals. WWYD???

With the tweens is everyone prepared to share a bed? With my tween and teen we’re pretty much now at a sharing beds isn’t an option stage of life so the 5th sleeper would be required for us! :-)

I like AKL as a resort, but give me the choice and I will usually lean more towards a resort in the middle of the action - like CR/being on the monorail/MK in sight/Seven Seas & Bay Lake vibes, etc.

AKL doesn’t appeal to us at all, we’ve never stayed there in any level room. We don’t even go to AK park very often. We started staying at CR about 5 years go & really like it. We enjoy the walk to MK & being on the monorail. What kind of foods do you all like? From what I’ve read, the offerings at AKL feature African seasonings & foods. My husband & I don’t like that type of food, so that’s another reason we wouldn’t stay there.

But more importantly, how will your husband like CR? Seems like his opinion is the one that should matter.

I need help choosing. We have never tried CL at WDW.

We’ll be 3 adults staying mid April (DH, me and one young adult son). As usual 😂 DH has just decided last week he wants to add another night to our trip. Last night reminiscing about our only DL trip and how 3 nights club level blew our mind… DH is now determined to book CL the last night.

Originally we booked 5 nights VGF 1BR with our DVC, then added BW view 1BR for the first night. Now we’re looking to add a Friday night at the end.

Options, listed by preference on first glance (pre-tax prices I’m finding with AP spring discount):

Contemporary Atrium Club theme park view $1,184

Contemporary regular CL resort view $1,055

AKL CL savannah view $921

Grand Flo $1,319 (our home DVC resort, we frequently stay)

Wilderness Lodge $882 (bonus - one of the few WDW resorts we’ve never stayed)

At first we balked on Poly CL TPV $1,310 but now we’re entertaining Atrium Club which isn’t far off. Yes we are experts when it comes to Disney math lol. What is 5 or 10% more when you’re already splurging 🤣

I think we have it whittled down to the bolded. We’ve never stayed in the A-frame but have stayed BLT a few times. Always wanted to try Wilderness Lodge though, and it’s quite a price difference. I love Poly and all 3 of us seemed excited by the theme park views in CL options. The plan is to spend the last ~24 hours mostly enjoying that CL resort with maybe a few park hours.

They all shine in their unique ways, but do any jump out for making the most sense this trip?

Hmm… so just thinking about the flow of things… 1 night BW, 5 nights GF, then one last night somewhere. Everyone is so different of course, but feels like maybe with a week long GF stay you’ll have ‘been there/done that’ with the monorail resorts/Seven Seas Lagoon scene so maybe Wilderness or AKL for a change of scene would be nice?

Poly is arguably a great “resort only” type of resort for a cap off the week stay - fun pools, fun beverage places, great location for the CL rooms, great fireworks and Electrical Water Pageant views, but maybe by then you’ll sort of be over all that having been next door for 5 days?

WL CL is a really great CL and has a bit more adult appeal than somewhere like Poly CL, if a factor given your adult party makeup. A last night hanging around WL and WL CL would be really appealing for us. I’d maybe put AKL in that same line of thinking as well.

GF CL (Royal Palm Club) gets nice reviews and is the most expensive, but since it’s your home resort maybe go big and try it? I’d probably want a change of resort scene, personally. It’s arguably the ‘nicest CL’ in terms of newest lounge, variety of offerings, lounge size.

Sorry, probably not helping much!

Well I dont think you can make a bad choice. Will this day be a resort or park day? If park day, I would say whatever is the most convenient. On that note, will you have a car? Moving resorts 3 times in 6 days will be a bit crazy if you dont. Its doable, just adds a bit of stress.

I would lean towards WL. Its just so peaceful. Just FYI, you can add on CL at check in at WL. Not sure what the standard room price is but might be cheaper to do it that way. Its $150 to add it on. This is only at WL. You may also look at CSR tower. Their CL has a more grown up vibe, huge lounge but con, no balcony.

Have you thought about making day 1 your CL day, instead of BWV? Only because you get access on check in and all day on check out so you would essentially get 2 days out of 1 night.

How long is your trip? The 5th sleeper is very nice as kids get older. Also the larger room at CR is noticeable after a couple of days. AKL can start to feel very cramped after a couple of days. Also know the lounge can be a long walk and 2 floors up from your room so its not as convenient as CR.
Maybe you can do lunch at Sanaa one day to get your AKL, animal fix
