The White House correspondent that gave Bush a run for his money?

I don't know how her health is holding out, she is very elderly. I would love to see her at Obama's first press conference asking the first question!!!

I love her. When I took a journalism class in high school, we took a field trip to see her speak. This was in 1987. I really admire her!

According to Wikipedia she now sits in the back of the press room because she no longer works for a wire service.

A December 6, 2007 CNN report by Jeanne Moos showed video of a seating chart of reporters covering a press conference given by President Bush concerning reports of Iran not having pursued nuclear weapons since 2003. The spot for Thomas was crossed out with an X and she was never called upon.[15]

Thomas developed a stomach infection in May 2008, and has not appeared in press conferences or written her weekly column since. She is expected to recover and return to work.

Thanks for that info. I love her too! Imagine if he had her in the front seat..Just to honor her years of service? Then I could cry, yet again!

I was thinking the same thing!!! Hopefully she will be ready to go back to work then and they will honor her in that way.
