im decoratin my boys bedroom for his 2nd birthday wen hes goin into his first bed, he loves handy manny so im gettin him a handy manny bedcovers set any one got any ideas for decoratin the rest of the room...dont have to be on the handy manny themr any disney is fine xxx:rotfl:

You could just do any color on the wall. Then get pictures of Handy Manny to hang.

We are doing a Wilderness Lodge theme for DS's room. He is 19 months. His bed is a dark cherry, as is his dresser. We got a Lodge-y quilt from Target. His walls are a rustic red and a medium green. When we go back to Disney, I'm going to take a pic of the WL and have it blown up for his room.

cheers for the tip...ur room sounds liek its guna be great! xxx

n e 1 else got any ideas i need laods i wanna make his room a disney palace lol xxx:cutie:

I am going to suggest skipping out on the Handy Manny bedding, unless it is very economical. Instead, I would paint the walls and either put up Handy Manny or other Disney character wall clings, or do a mural on the wall with the characters you want.

The reason I say this is because my kids go in and out of character phases so fast. We did my son's room in Pooh & Friends when he was a baby and did a mural on the wall. We moved when he was 2.5 and let him choose. He chose Bob The Builder. A year later, he no longer liked Bob. I was pregnant and we were doing the baby's room, so we let him decide on how he wanted to do his room. We did dinosaurs and 2 years later, he didn't want that anymore.

If you get him a comforter that will go with anything - it is so easy to change the wall decorations. With Bob the Builder, we used the wall clings. With the dinosaurs, we framed a poster and put scrapbook stickers as a border on the wall. I did buy him a dinosaur comforter that I got for 75% off, but wish I hadn't because it would be easier to change his room again. I told ds he is going to have to wait a while before we change the room again.

I love those peel and stick wall borders for my DD's room. There's a bunch of Disney ones, and they're so easy to put up and remove. We're currently picking out paint colors for her room and I told her she can have any border she wants, as long as it's peel and stick. :rotfl: We've kept the bedding and curtains neutral (pinks, greens, and purples for her) and just by changing the border and the wall clings, it's like she has a new room.

We have friends who redecorate their kid's rooms every 18 months top to bottom as they fall in and out of love with characters. It's EXPENSIVE, and time consuming. Give me the removable wall clings/borders any day!

yeh i think im guna go with stick and peel pictures my mums buyin his bedding as his birthday present and he loves handy manny hopin he will for but a year or so but he wont really think bout his bedding for a whileso it will be ok lol :rotfl: xxx:woohoo:

CARS is always a good option for boys. Not to many will out grow cars. My DS room has been different versions of CARS for 3 years now and he still loves it. Since you are having a hard time picking one you could just do a DISNEY room with everyone in it. Some Handy Manny, some Cars, Some Mickey and the gang ect....

yeh he loves disney....im so glad he does i hoped he would its nice that ican see the magic of disney threw a childs eyes..although i still dothru my own lol xxxx
