Height Restrictions...new Wrist Band???

I seem to remember on the board somewhere about disney implimenting a new process of checking a kids height before they enter the park. They would then be given a colored wrist band so that the ride operator would know if the child was tall enough to ride or not. Does anyone know if they have started this yet?

as far as i know..they still check heights at disney world...at least we do at space mountain. i have not heard of this wristband thing.

They do the wrist band thing at DQ sometimes. They have not had anyone doing it the last several times we went in but they were doing it in February. I am not sure if it was a test or if it was just because of the time we went. It was very crowded when they used the wrist band.

As of yesterday they did not have this wrist band. That would be a good idea! My son is exactly 48" and on every ride he was measured over and over agin!

They actually use this at Disneyland and it's totally voluntary. Depending on the kids height, they will get a different colored wristband. The color "determines" what rides they're tall enough to go on.
