Hi all --

The Comfort Inn room is $175 whilst we are in Nassau. Thinking of taking advantage of this IF:

1. We get access to all areas of Atlantis? Yes?
2. My son is on the short side but LOVES roller coaster/water slides (the faster the better). He will be disappointed if there is nothing else for him to do whilst there given he will not meet the 48-inch height requirement when his twin sister does. What else can we experience?

Thanks and looking forward to your answers.

Hi!

To answer your questions,

1. Yes, as far as I know booking a room at the COmfort Suites provides you with full access to the Atlantis grounds.

2. The slide height limit is in fact 48 inches. If he is very close to 48', he can get away with riding in a tube up to some of the rides in the power tower....they don't bother to measure as long as you look close the 48" height. Our daughter was about 47" and that worked fine, though they did measure her for one body slide and deemed her tall enough. Some of the other things he can do is swim in the many pools, ride a tube through the "Current" (a lazy river with waves and rapids), there are very small slides in the Mayan Temple Pool.....head out to the beach and swim there..there is a kids pool and splash area but it is aimed at the toddler and preschool age set....There is the Dig and Predators aquariums. I know there is also a Dolphin encounter and also snorkeling/scuba diving available at an extra cost.

Hope that helps you. I have a pretty involved TR with lots of details and many pictures on the water slides at Atlantis found on page 4 here....

nenner1: love your ticker

Unfortunately, he'll only be about 44-inches. Don't want to disappoint him. May just stay aboard and take advantage of an empty ship.

Thanks for the info. My daughter is 6 1/2 and also about 47 inches. I was concen myself if she would be able to do some of the slides. She will enjoy to hear that.

The slides are pretty intense, though!!!
My daughter took quite a bit of coaxing to get back on the power tower water coasters after she rode the first time (she was a little scared). The 2nd time she did like it a bit better (maybe b/c she was better balanced riding with DH the 2nd time..?:confused3 ) but she still wanted to go in the pool instead of ride another slide afterwards....

Enjoy your trip!!!:thumbsup2

Are there any exciting slides for a kid of 42+ but not yet 48 inches? I just booked at CS and my DD is a dare devil. It will be lame if she can only do little slides.

I'm a little confused by the slides. If we ride the lazy river rides, do we automatically have to go to the top of the wild slides? I have no desire to go down a straight drop slide nor will my 6 yo nephew, whether he is tall enough or not. We will be at Atlantis next week and just want to know what to expect thanks
