I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if they are lienient at all on height requirements for the rides at US and IoA. We are taking my 3 year old at the end of next month :woohoo: (our first trip) and he is 38 1/2 inches tall right now. I figure he will grow a little between now and then, but probably not much. We don't want to waste our time in lines only to get to the front and have them say 'sorry, he's 1/2 too short, etc.' Anyone have any experiences they could share? Thanks!!

the TM at Men in Black re-measured my son last April - her Lead told her to do it.....he was just tall enough to ride

Other than that, I have no information for you.....it really is a safety issue. He is bummed he is still 1.5 inches too short for The Mummy

Thanks!! I completely understand it being a safety issue. We had an experience at another theme park and by our measurement he was tall enough, but when he got to the front of the line, they said he wasn't. All that waiting for nothing. Then you had to deal with the disappointment.

There is no "almost" or "close enough". If a child does not make the height requirement, they cannot ride. There is child swap available on almost all attractions.

Do they have measuring devices before you get in line for each ride that say something like 'you must be this tall to ride this ride'? Or is it something you just have to wait and find out when you get to the FOTL? Also on the child swap, is there somewhere to sit with your child while you wait?

yes and yes - they have height sticks outside of the rides and they have child swap areas inside

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

There are also signs before you even get in the parks (read: near the ticket booth) that have the height requirements.

how about the trolley ride? why does there have to be a height restriction on it? but not jaws for example?
