My 2 1/2 year old DS is very adventurous and loves rides. He goes nuts when he sees videos of Test Track. Just curious what the height requirements are for that and other "fast" rides?
It's really sad that I know this off the top of my head, but I think it's 48 inches to ride alone, 40 inches to ride with an adult. I just looked this up last night - LOL!
Do you think test track is ok for a 5 yr old? He has never shown any interest until this trip. What do you think is ok for him to ride? Thanks for any advice.
Test Track isn't that bad- DH and I weren't impressed so we don't go on it but I think it is fine if height requirements are met
5 1
Proud to be a Christian
Too many times to list as a kid
Once I grew up:
1997 Fort Wilderness (summer); Coronado Springs Christmas
1999 Wilderness Lodge (Spring); Fort Wilderness Christmas/New Years
2002 AKL June(thanks to Grammy for the treat!!)/Polynesian in August
2003 Caribbean Beach
2004 Took a break after having a baby
2005 Going to Port Orleans Riverside
2006 Back to Poly!!!
That's for sure!! I took my son when he just turned 3 and he was 1/4 of an inch to short to make Splash Mountain. He measured 40" at his doctors appt but Disney said no way. He was so disappointed. They would not let him on. I even saw the CM asking some girls to take off their shoes.
Yeah, the CM's have to be real dilligent with height requirements because God forbid if anything happened and the child was 1" under the requirement, Disney could be sued for millions.

Test Track is fine for a 5yo who shows interest in it. My daughter loved it at age 4. It's really pretty mild. BTMRR and Splash Mtn should be fine for a 5yo, too, as long as he isn't scared of that drop that he can see from the outside. If he's not afraid of heights, he should enjoy Soarin', it's also pretty mild.
Honestly, it depends on his interests, too. My 7-nearly-8yo likely still won't want to go on Space Mountain, not because of the ride itself, but because she doesn't like the dark. I'll put my kids on just about anything they're interested in, if they meet the height requirements, know what to expect, and there isn't some other reason I don't want them on the ride.
