height requirement and armbands

We were just at Disney Aug. 1st-8th.
On our first visit to MGM to ride RnR my granddaughter was measured and told she wasn't tall enough. Her actual height without shoes is 47.5 inches. I had purchased plain ol' tennis shoes (no thick sole) and she measured just BARELY under the 48" mark. Still, she couldn't ride it.
The next day we went back to RnR once again, same shoes on, and although she was measured at EVERY single marker, from the beginning of the line, to right before getting on the ride, she was able to ride any one of the rides without ever having a CM tell her she was too short.
It was only the 1 particular CM that ever turned us away.
So...just prepare the child that they WILL get measured more than once, and thick-soled shoes ARE noticable by the CM's, and if your child is wearing a hat, they will take that off before measuring too.

Sincerely...Kat
