Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, it's off to the CSR we go! A Feb PTR 2/28 Trip report started!!!

Well nothing is written in stone yet....and I keep thinking about that cruise too. It would be more money for less days, but it keeps calling me. LOL! We'll mosty likely just go to WDW though.

Glad you got LC, and REALLY glad you got your Via Napoli rescheduled! That is one of my favorite meals at WDW.

Evening Karin !! I am fighting a little kitten who wants in the worst way to either sit on my laptop or eat my strawberry shortcake!!!:rotfl2: Hey she posted for me !!!!

Good morning, Karin! I just showed Max the picture of his card and he was very excited. Glad to hear you're sorting out your ADRs. Its interesting....my mom has thrown another wrench into the plans and might be bringing one of her friends with her! It is someone I am friends with, as well, so I wouldn't mind, but... that would mean changing ADRs again! I checked the Disney website and aside from Ohana, none of them were that difficult. Granted, none of them were Le Cellier, either. :lmao: I also recently cancelled an ADR at Teppan Edo and changed it to Via Napoli for Friday night and evening EMH's at EPCOT. That's our last night! Had no problems doing that, either. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your plans!

Hi Karin, I'll be following along here as well as I will also be staying at CSR but not until May.

I like the idea of the Dream/Fantasy cruise. I think you would really like the different ports, St. Thomas is a great port. :thumbsup2

Maybe it's just me but i am too big of chicken to change my plans or rearrange things. Although getting a table for 6 during free dining is an art in itself, so once i got what we wanted I left it be. No changes here, on ADR's the rest of the intinerary is up in the air.

Hiya,
Now you just have to come to Disney October 12-16th 2011 and we can meet for lunch or dinner lol!
Here are some ideas of where we want to eat when we go..
Wolfgang Pucks, Cape May, Hoop De Doo Review, Sci Fi, Starring Rolls(saw this on one of your trip reports), Tusker House(possibly), Flame Tree(can't go to AK without going here) Kona for sushi, Ohanna dinner, Liberty Tree Tavern, Boma or Sanaa again... well these are just ideas so far. I've got about 8 months to narrow the list down. We are going to the MNSSHP one day and AK but will most likely have to add another Park to our cost in order to get the free dining.

Well Feb is around the corner... can't wait to hear all about it!

Christine

Your special mail is so fun! Very special. I was :rotfl2: picturing you having a class repeat, "return gifts you don't want and buy Christmas lights and paper on clearance for next year day." until they have it memorized! :lmao:

I think we really should get a fun title like Boxing Day for it!

I like the ring that "nothing is written in stone yet" has! ;) I LOVE changes! :rotfl2:
Whatever you decide, it will be lots of fun, because you are somewhere Disney! :thumbsup2

Glad you got LC, and REALLY glad you got your Via Napoli rescheduled! That is one of my favorite meals at WDW.

We loved VN in the summer, so that's why I tried to fit it in again! ;) Lots more changes have been done and I have even started making some real plans!
First day will be posted shortly! :goodvibes

Oh, I know that feeling. Our princess is NO longer a kitten, but if she wants things to go HER way, she'll GET her way!
And BTW, you trained your kitten well, if she posts for you! :rotfl2:

Changing ADRs seems to be my new favourite pastime! :lmao: It is just too easy now that we are able to just play around with ADRs on their website! ;)
Friday night is our last night too! I wonder if we will get everything done, that I have planned for it! And we will spend the last evening at Epcot too! So there's a huge chance of running into you there! :thumbsup2
I have typed out plans for the first three days and hope to finish more over the weekend, but Day 1 will be posted real soon!

Thanks for coming over here too! :goodvibes
You are going to love the CSR! We chose it thanks to Kathy's (KatMark) thread and fell in love with it! :thumbsup2

I am more and more leaning towards the Dream/Fantasy cruise for 2012 as well! There is only "so" much to do in Nassau and I guess we have done it all! At least the things we are interested in! ;)
We will have to look into those new ports a little more!

I guess it is MUCH harder to rearrange things for a table for 6 than 2! And it is just so easy with the new online system. Whenever I try to change something I make sure, what I want is available, then book and then cancel the old ressie!
And even with all that planning, once we are there and don't feel like it, we often cancel and rebook things on the spot! :lmao:

You have no idea how much I would love to go to WDW at that time frame! Unfortunately we don't get time off then! :sad2: And we only get unpaid leave once and I already had that for Christmas a few years ago.
I love your choice of restaurants! There are a few we have never been to, but would love to hear opinions about them.
Well, I guess I should start thinking about our summer ADRs as well, we got the OKW deal, we had last year, again and are on the free DDP!

But first things first - plans for February will be posted shortly!

We really enjoyed getting that mail! We have made so many friends here on the DISboard.
Oh, and I'll let you know if I can figure out to tell my class about the "return gifts you don't want and buy Christmas lights and paper on clearance for next year day". It should be fun for them to get accustomed to US "traditions"! :rotfl2:

I have a new one, too, as I just subscribed to Ridemax. Pretty cool. Who knows if we'll make it, but its so much fun to play with the program. Although, it doesn't seem to take aimless wandering into account. :rolleyes1 I do like that you can start and end your time a park whenever, so you can take into account afternoons at the resort and things like that.

Can't wait to hear your actual plans for Day 1! And 2 and 3.. :lmao: It would be great to be able to see you guys that last night in EPCOT. We have an ADR that evening at Via Napoli and I'm pretty certain that we'll at least make it to Illuminations.

Hm, I have never even considered Ridemax. I will have to check it out. I am a member of Touringplans, but then I never really look at their site until I am done planning and I always seem to pick the worst parks for the day! :rotfl:

I have worked out 3 days so far and will post them this weekend. I might even have enough time to post a part of day one today! ;)

We have a lunch ADR at LeCellier on Friday, but want to go to MK for Wishes, but we will definitely return for EMH to Epcot - I hope you will still be at Epcot when we come back! :thumbsup2

Okay, planning our vacation! Let's start!!!

Resort(s):

We will stay offsite for the first night. So our first night will be spent here .......

07.jpg

The Clarion Lake Buena Vista, formerly Quality Inn.
Why do you ask?
Our flight arrives late and I fear that if I check in that late on President's Weekend, we might end up with a "leftover" room. I figure our chances of getting the room we "want" will be better if we check in early!
I might be right, I might not be right, but we don't want to take any chances. ;) :lmao:

After our first night we will stay at .......

well, not quite in the hammock on the beach, but at the

Coronado Springs Resort! :goodvibes

Last year we were VERY lucky and got upgraded to a Waterview room, so this year we actually BOOKED the Waterview room! Disney's way of getting even deeper into my pockets!

Now that we have sorted out the resort question we can move on to some real day by day planning! :goodvibes

Day 1, February 19, 2011

Day 1 is our travel day! So we will get up around 7am and have breakfast at home.

05.jpg

Then around 9.30am we will take a taxi to the airport,

01.jpg

check in and

06.jpg

fly to our stopover destination, Frankfurt, where we will have about 2 ½ hours to get from one part of the airport to the other.

02.jpg

After going through security and having a snack we will board the aircraft for our flight to Orlando.

03.jpg

After lunch

IMG_1097.jpg

we will take some sleeping aid and hopefully doze off until we are close to Orlando, nine hours later.

Since we will sit at the very back of the plane, it will take quite a while until we will get off and therefore we will take quite a while to go through immigration.

Then we’ll hopefully pick up ALL our luggage and head over to the Dollar car rental.

04.jpg

We booked a Chrysler Sebring or similar kind of car, so we hope they will have what we booked for a change.
The last two years we had to make due with the “leftovers” and since we booked higher class cars we were offered a seven seater last year. Nice for a big family, not so nice for us! We had a lengthy discussion and finally ended up with a Jeep!

I guess that by then we are looking at a time close to 9pm and we will finally start our drive toward Walt Disney World.

Guess what ….. I changed our first night hotel again. :lmao:

As you might recall I had booked a suite at the Red Roof Inn in Kissimmee and was quite happy with it. Well, now that I have started to think about it, I wasn’t all that happy with it any more. Why, you ask? We have stayed at the RRI before and quite liked it. Nice huge rooms, with all the amenities for a very low price.
BUT, it is at the other end of Kissimmee and quite a way away from Downtown Disney, where we wanted to have dinner.

So a few days ago I talked it over with Tom and we are now staying at the Clarion Inn, Lake Buena Vista, that is the former Comfort Inn at Lake Buena Vista!

07.jpg

We hope to arrive there no later than 9.30, check in and carry our luggage to the room, before we will head over to the Hess gas station to pick up some drinks and chips.

Our next stop will be Goofy’s for a sweet treat

IMG_4296.jpg

IMG_4303.jpg

IMG_4356.jpg

:cloud9:

and Wolfgang Puck’s Express, where we will pick up two sandwiches (they hopefully will still have the Pesto Chicken Salad one ….. I LOVE it)

IMG_4146.jpg

IMG_4143.jpg

and maybe some salad before we head back to the Clarion Inn for dinner. The 6 hour time change will start to bug us after dinner, so I guess, we will drift off to dreamland after watching a little TV.

Happy New Year, Karin and Tom!

This is my first time using Ridemax. I have a subscription to Touring Plans and I used it to figure out what parks to do on which days, although I also ignored them at least once! :lmao: Ridemax is cool because you can type in what time you're going to arrive and when you plan on leaving, as well as your dining plans, and it comes up with your plan based on that and what rides you want to go on.

Can't wait to hear more about your plans. And you have such nice pictures to go along with it!

Happy New Year, Karin and Tom! Looks like you are having fun planning, which is what we DISers do best, right?;)

Hi

Here I am over to check on your planning progress and you have day 1 done!!:banana::banana:

Can't wait to see what the rest of the vacation plans will bring!! :woohoo::yay:

I love the pictures!!! :thumbsup2 I'll be looking forward to the rest of the days!!! :goodvibes

Cheers,

Madeline
