I know July and August are very hot but what about the first week of June is the heat as bad???

Temperatures may be a few degrees cooler in early June. August tends to feel a bit worse than June simply because the ground has had 2 more months of summer sun beating down on it to heat up. When you're someplace like WDW where so much is covered in concrete that can make a difference.

My experience from our early June trip is that the heat was oppressive. I mean, truly hot. The heat was more manageable in MK as you will be in and out of AC attractions but places like HS and the World Showcase at EPCOT about did us in. I agonized for months before our trip, deciding if it was worth it to go in June or not. In the end, we decide to go for it but I am not sure we will ever travel to DW in the summer again. Did we have a great time? We sure did. But it was very hot.

I did buy every device to take with us: Frogg Tog chilly pads, individual mister, handheld fans, very lightweight umbrellas -- you name it, we had it. In the end, the thing that helped the most was the $1 small handheld fan I bought at Walmart. I am not kidding! It made the most difference.

Touring was also more bearable at night. It was still hot, but it felt better than when the sun was beating down on us in all of that concrete.

Good luck!

We went June 6-10 a few years ago and I made myself remember when I thought I would like to go that time again, no! :rotfl:

I won't lie, we were HOT. And STICKY. I was surprised how tired the heat made me.

And even at night, we would be refreshed after showering and a nice dinner, we would walk outside and instantly be sweaty/sticky. Gross.

Still had fun, but it was hot/humid.

It will be hot, it will be humid...its the south...However, for some June is manageable. As the time moves closer to deep summer it gets even hotter and even stickier. But in FL, afternoon rain showers in the summer are lovely and kind of cool the late afternoon heat a bit (but make it stickier). Just don't overdo anything and drink A LOT of water (which is free from CS places) You will adjust slowly. Don't pack jeans, don't pack anything with heavy material and know that you will change more than once a day...just part of life with humidity.

We've been to WDW a few times the first week of June and it has always been HOT. I don't think there's much difference between 90 & 100 when there is 100% humidity. One day when we left DHS in mid-afternoon, it was 104!
Our method of coping, besides doing outside things earlier in the morning/evening was to bring along a washcloth for each of the kids in a baggie. The could soak it at a water fountain and cool down every so often. Really seemed to help. We did try the little battery operated mist-er type fans but they were just a hassle and didn't work when you wanted them to. :confused3
Just plan on being hot and wet the entire trip and you'll be fine!! ;)

Our first three trips were late June. We had another in July. Hot and humid, count on a storm(usually on AK day for some reason) but doable. Once we went in August and it was a big difference! The pool was like a bathtub; not even refreshing.
Now our last 4 trips were spring break trips. My son and I had way different breaks this year--he's in HS and can't miss school, I'm a teacher and can't take more than 1or 2 days. so we are going back June 17. I hope it's not worse than I remember! But I haven't been in over two years so I don't even care. We will swim, I'll buy a spray bottle if needed, and take water bottles. Anyhow, after the worst winter in NW Ohio history, I'd rather be hot than cold!
