Pluto! I'm so glad you guys had a better experience with him on the ship. He's my favorite and I definitely would have been crushed if 'Ohana was my only meet with him. I also love the Mickey balloon paper in the autograph book.

Yeah, one bad Pluto definitely did not spoil the bunch for us!

I feel like chipmunks in tuxedos are worth the price of a Disney cruise SO CUTE. And Minnie's feather hat is fabulous!

I am obsessed with characters in costumes - characters in formal wear may have been even better!

Seriously--that's messy? You should have seen our room by the end of the week... I never know how it happens because I always have good intentions....

Well, you have to remember there are only two of us - I think messes get a lot worse with more people crammed into a stateroom or hotel room.

I am LOVING formal night! How cute is Minnie?!? I love Willows pictures with the characters. She always has such a terrifically happy smile and looks like she is having the most awesome time ever!

Hi Karin! It's good to see you back! I guess this means I better go check for updates on your TR.

Love your brunch photos! And I am glad that you liked it so much. You practically had the same meal that is served to everyone. The only exception being your bread and the dessert. The cream usually comes in cream puffs and is served on a plate. But the ice-cream that comes with it is so yummy!

I was very impressed that they were able to make changes to so many things so that I was able to enjoy almost exactly what others did. They even had gluten-free soy sauce and such so that I didn't go without sauces. It was a great experience!

Love to see more character pics too! I guess I need to get a move on with my TR too, so our days don't drift too far apart.

How stiinkin' cute are all of those photos?? I don't think that I have ever seen pictures of the characters in their formal wear, which is werid - you'd think I would have seen them in someone's TR by now...

Well, it's possible that most people don't spend quite as much time on their cruises meeting characters…….

Willow looks very happy in all of the pictures, how nice to be able to grab a treat while you wait.

She really does enjoy her character meets.

The cooking activity in the Oceaneer Lab sounds like fun. Do they usually have an activity like that going on? My girls would love that!

Yes, they have activities going on all the time. Kids can take part if they want or do any of the other many things available. They even have special visits from characters - Pluto does a Pajama Party, Peter Pan comes by, etc. It's a really fun time for kids.

Even More Formal Meets​

Next we wanted to hurry to Preludes (near the Walt Disney Theater) to spend a little time with Goofy. While we were looking at the map or getting our autograph pages together or something, Cinderella wandered by and Willow called out to her. She stopped, and Willow asked what she was doing. She said she was just wandering around. So she took Willow by the hand and walked to the balcony (where she was going to do a meet-and-greet that did not appear on the Navigator). Willow and her old friend chatted for quite some time while the line formed. This was a great impromptu meet - we noticed later that she was out there for quite a long time and always with a very long line.

We did manage to catch up with Goofy before he left.

​

After saying good-bye to Goofy, we zipped back up to Deck 4 to meet Captain Mickey finally!!!! At this point, the Captain’s Reception was going on, so CMs were circulating with FREE wine, beer, cocktails and specialty non-alcoholic beverages. I was able to grab a glass of wine from Mickey’s line and then a tasty beverage for Miss Willow as well.

There was a definite party atmosphere permeating the place!

​

Willow was so happy to see Mickey. She asked him if he and Minnie were married. He indicated that they were not. Willow pointed out that Minnie was quite pretty, and Mickey did agree.

​

After seeing Mickey, we headed down to Deck 3 to see tonight’s show - Aladdin, A Musical Spectacular. But when we got close to the theater, we saw that Minnie had changed gowns and was doing another meet-and-greet (not listed in the Navigator). No way could we pass that up!

Apparently, not totally convinced by Mickey, Willow asked Minnie if they were married. Minnie shook her head no and then showed her that she didn’t have a ring!

This is my favorite character outfit of all time! It is amazing! I wish I had a picture where she wasn’t kneeling down so you could see the full effect.

We adored the Aladdin show - it was great! Here’s what the theater looks like.

I think they have formal night on all the cruises - I know that they do it on all the 7-night cruises. Not totally sure on the shorter ones.

Oh, how fun! The shows on the cruise are really fun. We always end up missing some of them, but we definitely did a better job getting to them this time - the late dining really worked a lot better for us.

Yes! I always love that! It seemed to happen a lot - I would think I was so smart knowing the times and places, and then we'd spot someone we had no idea would be there.

I love that one too - it's terrible quality, very blurry, etc., but it captures the joy and the magic.

A Formal Evening​

After enjoying the Aladdin show, we headed back to our stateroom for a little foot rest - formal night meant me in heels - OUCH! Willow enjoyed a Sofia the First episode, and I hung out in my favorite spot with my book and a glass of wine.

It was perfection out there.

​

I became obsessed with some weird weather off in the distance. I even made Willow come out and look at it.

​

Wile we were hanging out on the verandah, Willow noted that she would rather cruise than go to WDW!

Before long, it was time to put those heels back on and head down to our assigned dining room for the evening - Animator’s Palate.

​

All over the ships, they play Disney music. Willow loved this because she could always figure out the songs with just a few notes, and it took me forever! Tonight she got very into miming what song it was to see if I could finally figure it out.

​

Pretty sure that latter one was for The Incredibles.

I think Willow was pretty excited about dinner tonight.

​

Animator’s is a very neat place.

​

I want these! I’m pretty sure they sell them for about a million dollars.

I think this was Monsters, Inc.

I think this was Up.

​

We got another cute bread basket.

A Formal Evening Cont.

Tonight was the show night, so Crush swam through the screens in the room and singled out guests for interaction (much like the Turtle Talk experience). This was VERY cool.

​

Willow was totally intrigued.

​

Willow chose fruit for her appetizer.

​

She also asked Daniel if it would be possible to get some cucumbers. Of course it was!

​

Of course, there was more mac and cheese for dinner.

​

I realize this looks AWFUL, but it wasn’t. It also doesn’t look like what it was - mushroom risotto. This was my appetizer choice.

​

I also tried the baked potato soup, which was quite tasty.

​

I had the chicken for my entree. This was actually very good.

​

And Miss Willow once again skipped dessert in favor of the kids club. Tonight, however, she wanted me to pick her up as soon as I was done with dinner.

​

I love the chairs in here!

​

I don’t think I had placed a dessert order the night before. Our serving team provided me with a lovely lemon mousse.

​

After finishing my meal and ordering for the next night, I picked up Miss Willow at about 10:00. We headed back to the room to change and saw this awesome towel animal that our room host had left.

​

Willow changed into jammies, and we headed up to Deck 11 for ice cream! Back in the room we settled in to watch Aladdin before bed. Another great day on the Fantasy.

​

How fun is it to see your choices for the evening and then to see that you got to do completely different things.
It`s so cute that Willow "interpreted" the songs for you. She is quite something.
On the contrary to you, we shy away from Animator's during the regular show with Crush. It gets so loud in there.

Oh, and btw ..........

These are for sale! Plates and knives! And they even go for a reasonable price - well, what Disney thinks is reasonable.
How do I know? We got the plates and knives to prove it.

I might have a problem when we go on our cruise...with every picture all I could think was I want it, no I want that. How cute are those plates, knives and bread basket? The chairs too...but even I will admit, that might be a little overkill in my house!

Animator's Palate seems really interesting and I bet the "show" part keeps the kids entertained. I had to laugh at the picture of your appetizer, I hope it was better than it looked!

I loved the picture of the empty chair, a little time to relax and enjoy your dessert!

Somehow I got behind, but all caught up again now!!! I have an unexpected day home from work because of an ice storm....so what better to do than DIS!!

I just love this cruise report...I have never been over to the cruise board because I will probably never go on one....but this is GREAT!!! Willow is soooo cute! She seems to really be enjoying herself!!
