Day 5 Disney / MGM Studios
This was our last day at WDW :( I stayed at HIFS with DS7 and let him sleep in and rest. I got laundry done, which was good. DH took the rest (DS11, DS10, DS8) to MGM via the shuttle. I drove the rental van and met them there at noon. DS7 was like a new man. He just needed that rest! We still rented him a stroller, though.
The others had already gotten in the Great Movie Ride, Backstage tour, TofT, RnRCoaster, and the making of the Haunted Mansion. Maybe some other things, too. I'm not sure. DS8 and DS10 of course didn't want to ride TofT or RnRCoaster. DH offered to buy them a T-shirt if they would ride. DS8 took him up on it and rode TofT. HE LOVED IT! He rode it two or three times. To this day, his dream is to go back and ride it all day long. (DS10 never did ride it). DD loved it--she loves thrill rides. Even DH liked it. He convinced me to ride when I got there. I loved it, too and I don't like "free-falling" rides. It was cool. I loved RnRCoaster, too. What a smooth ride. We also caught Indiana Jones, Star Tours, and Muppet 3-D (My favorite--I am a big Muppet fan!!). The kids played a while on Honey I Shrunk the Kids then insisted on Pizza Planet for lunch. While some of us rode TofT and RnRCoaster, the others went to Who wants to be a Millionaire. I stopped and bought Christmas ornaments for gifts then we all met up for FANTASMIC! It turned out to be DH's favorite attraction of all. We thought we were so smart--we arrived early enough to sit right up front and center. We couldn't believe our luck. We noticed that no one else sat so close. We asked a CM if we would get wet or something. He said no, just misted. There was a cheerleading convention/competition/exhibition or something going on while we were there. There was a huge section of them at FANTASMIC and they started the wave. It kept the kids thrilled and entertained while we waited. When the show started, we became "misted." The thing was, the misting doesn't let up, so we were going to get very wet. We got out our ponchos and were fine. (Remember this was in December and it was in the 50's at night--wet doesn't feel so good.)
To pick up the rest of our trip, see trip reports on the Universal Forum and the Cruise Forum.

Glad to hear your son was feeling better and that you all got to see Fantasmic.

Disney at the holidays is just fantastic!
