Day 4 Epcot
We let the kids sleep in. We found travelling in early December meant low crowds and no need to rush to be there at opening. In addition, we had had late nights the previous nights and we were beat!
Santa was in the lobby as well as a baby alligator from Gator Land. The alligator was attracting more children than Santa! DS7 didn't eat much breakfast and was beginning to show signs of being sick by the time we got to Epcot. I had brought Children's Tylenol but had left it at the hotel--so I ended up buying it at a gift shop. How's that for planning? We rented him a stroller. We arrived around 10 or 10:30. DS10 forgot his Hopper Pass. That cost us time, but at least they let us in. We made a PS (but ended up missing it). We rode Spaceship Earth. We got FPs for Test Track (just DH, DD and I--the boys didn't want to). Then headed for Wonders of Life for Body Wars and Cranium Command and "playing." We rode Test Track in shifts so DH or I could watch the boys who enjoyed the dancing fountains even in the cool weather. We went to the Living Seas and played a little. Then DD and I rode Mission:Space while DH and the boys did Universe of Energy. Whoa. MS messed me up a little. We walked to Mexico. Everyone but DH/DS7 rode the Mexican ride. We walked on to Norway. The boys climbed the Viking ship while DD and I rode the Maelstrom. By then it was getting colder and it was obvious that DS7 was needing to get back to HIFS and rest. We ate dinner together in Germany in remembrance of my Dad who passed away last July. The Biergarten was his favorite place. Then DH took DS7 back (the rest of us caught the HIFS shuttle after ImagiNations). The rest of us proceeded to several countries but didn't have time for them all. DD enjoyed getting the mask pieces at each country. DS8 bought a marionette in China. We did stop for the American Adventure. The kids all collected the stamped pennies as we went through the parks, so they searched the countries for their machines, too. I didn't get to enjoy IllumiNations as much--first of all we didn't get a good viewing location. Then DS8 had to go to the restroom, so I walked him there. When we started to go back, he realized he left his bag with his souvenirs in the restroom. We ran back and it was gone. He cried. The fireworks had already begun. I searched for a CM to help. No luck. I couldn't go in the men's room to help him look...A man walked up to us and asked us if we were looking for something. I told him what it was and he said he saw it and picked it up off the floor. He gave it to DS8. It made our night. We enjoyed what was left of IllumiNations then caught the HIFS shuttle back.
DH and I discussed plans for the next day should DS7 continue to feel sick.
