hearing problem and airplanes

We will be flying to DW next year, this year we found out that my nephew has collapsed ear drums in both ears. does anyone know how to protect his ears when flying? any help is greatly appreciated

Ask his neurologist; they should be able to recommend a strategy &/or prescribe meds or devices that will help.
