Just heard tonight that a girl I know is very ill with cancer. Her DS is in my DS's class at school -they're 6 years old. She's a single parent, only 32, and has previously beaten cervical cancer, but was taken into hospital last week after taking ill. The doctor has not given much hope as the cancer is very widespread, but she is getting chemotherapy. I feel so sad.....I can't stop thinking of her two DS's...and how they must feel, and how she must feel, knowing she probably won't see them grow-up.
Makes you realise how precious life is, and how important your family are. :guilty:

How awful

Just pray she can beat it again.

Things like this bring a tear to you eye. It isn't until yu become a parent that you realise how fragile life is. I would be thinking about the same thing as she is. Let's all pray and keep our fingers crossed for her and her family.

I am sure that every mother alive fears leaving their kids behind..

prayers out to this poor lady.. lets all hope for a miracle.....

When i hear about things like this i don't really know what to say. They upset me and i really feel for everybody involved. I hope the chemo helps and she makes a full recovery.

that is very sad news :grouphug: cancer is a truly horrible illness..i wish her all the best in her fight to beat it

Why do so many awful things happen to people ? I know 3 people at the moment who are going through this, one will probably be ok, 1 not so sure and the other is my ds friend who is 18 and has a 70% chance of survival.
What do you say to these guys - and how does a mother cope with the thought of leaving her kids

Clare died last week, on her 32nd birthday.
Just arrived home from the funeral this morning. It was heartbreaking. Her older son, who is 10 just can't come to terms with it, while the boy at 6 (same age as my DS) just doesn't understand at all.

The boys are going to stay with their Gran now - no mum, no dad. I can't stop crying thinking about it. :guilty:

How terribly sad big :grouphug: to you all, I hope and pray that time helps that poor child.

That is so tragic.

Thinking of you and your family and those poor little boys :grouphug:

That is so terrible, those poor poor boys, will keep you all in my prayers :grouphug:
