Here is the e-mail I just received from DCL regarding my concern about lack of programming to those under 3 now that the pools have been closed to them.
Thank you for your recent e-mail. We are glad your family will be joining us on an upcoming voyage. As you are aware, the United States Public Health Service requires that only children who are toilet trained be permitted into swimming pools and spas aboard cruise ships. We welcome your suggestions on ways in which we can improve our cruise experience for our younger guests and their families. Please know that feedback such as yours is very important to us, as we are committed to offering a cruise experience that meets the Disney standards of excellence. Your comments regarding the need for other activities have been shared with the appropriate management teams. Additionally, once onboard youll discover many experiences that families can participate in together. Examples include, Toddler time in the Oceaneers Club, Family Time in Flounders Reef Nursery, Island Magic Stage Show, Character appearances, first-run movies, Sail-away parties, Family Cabaret shows, Dance Parties, and the Family Beach at Castaway Cay to name a few. We truly strive to make the traditional features of cruising an enjoyable experience and regret if you feel this USPHS regulation will affect your cruise enjoyment. While many changes continue to take place throughout our World, please believe that our company's overall goal is still to sure an enjoyable visit for each of our guests. We look forward to welcoming you and your family aboard in the near future.
Looks like to me we MIGHT have a little hope, but not much.

DCL is one of the MOST responsive companies around. They have instituted MANY changes over the years based on guest feedback.

There is no doubt in my mind that they will do all they can to make sure those with little ones are happy on the cruise, and I'm sure they will look at adding other activities as well, as time goes on.

Enjoy your cruise! :)

Someone on another thread suggested a giant sandbox. What a great idea!:D

Would the same regulations apply to some sort of fountain? It wouldn't have to be anything big and I'm not an engineering expert but the kids really need something involving water to keep them cooled off. Just an idea.

my3kids, the giant sandbox idea sounds great. The little ones would love that. Maybe some sort of fun looking sprinkler type area would be an idea too .. A giant Winnie the pooh fountain or something similar.

It sounds like Disney is open for suggestions to keep the little ones happy. Give Disney a chance to work their usual magic.

:D

Sandbox..... you must mean "litterbox"!!! ;-)
