Health Insurance?

My daughter hasn't yet been accepted, but had her phone interview last week. If she's accepted, what about health insurance? Her dad's policy requires her to be a full time student to be enrolled. Is the college program considered to be full time student status? Anyone?

It really depends on how many credits the university will give you for the internship. My college only gives 6 credit hours (only if you take classes at disney). Some give full-time student credits. My dad called his insurance company to figure something out, and we found out that i was covered until I am 25. It really depends on the college and insurance company..

My daughter is there now - her dad works for a large company with pretty good insurance - she has to prove full time student status each semester - her school would only give 6 hour credit (three for the internship and three for the class). We could get her cobra through her dad's insurance -- very expensive or we opted for a separate insurance policy through the company that doe our house insurance. We paid 500 for mid May through mid Jan -- and we can extend that insurance. It's one of the policies where if something big occurs we will be glad we have it but otherwise we pay most everything else.
