Those who have been sitting by their computers waiting for Sept 30 and Oct hours to be published were finally rewarded yesterday. From what Disney published it appears that starting on Sept 30 the Early Entry schedule for EMH and MM (at DL) are:

DL - Tue/Thu/Sat
DCA - Sun/Mon/Wed/Fri

This is significant as the EE schedule at DL has included Sunday for at least the last 8 years. Now it appears Sunday will be EE at DCA.

Thank you for posting the news. We have a Sat-Tues stay at the PPH in November with my three sons, so knowing we'll have an extra EE morning at DCA (an abbreviation that means CARSLAND in my house ;) ) is an exciting prospect.
It also seems to be an attempt to help with crowds in CL by getting more people through the rides with an extra hour (or, if you're DLR29, using the time to ride every other ride in DCA while the masses flood into CL). :thumbsup2

Help me out, please!!
Do the DL vets out there think I can plan on the same schedule in Dec? I imagine that is the only way my crew will get to see CarsLand...

Hi, do you know if they are continuing with any kind of early entry for annual pass holders? I haven't been able to find much info past 29th September, we r going 30 oct to 13 nov, and staying off site, so would love to know if we can get in early with an AP. thanks : )

Does this mean that those of us with 3 day tickets have just lost a day of MM? If so, this is a huge blow! For example, we are arriving mid day Saturday with a 3 day park hopper. The plan was to use our MM on Sunday. With this option gone, and only DCA open for EE on Sunday and Monday, it means we've just completely lost that huge perk!:scared1: How could they sell us a ticket with 4 days of possible MM, then 4 weeks before our trip, after flights are booked, change it to 3 days?

So what is going on here? The website still lists MM as Sat, Sun, Tues, Thurs at DL, the tickets page says the same thing, but the daily schedule is saying EE for DCA only on Sunday Sept 30 and Oct 7. :confused3

From the looks of things it appears that MM lost a day. Yes, I saw that the website still lists MM as Sat/Sun/Tue/Thu. So at the moment the information is conflicting. It is possible that on Sundays they will have MM at DL and EMH at DCA, That would make Sunday the preferred day for MM because the EMH folks would be at DCA. Speculation at this point. The only thing appears real at the moment is that EMH will be at DCA Sundays.

APEE ends on Sept 13. It was not nearly as popular as Disney thought it would be. I would be very surprised to see it ever come back again.

If I had to guess then I would say the Dec EMH schedule will be the same. But Disney is clearly experimenting here like they experimented this summer with AP Early Entry. And experiments can easily change.

I am confused why you say EMH is the only way you can visit CarsLand. There will be 3 days a week at DCA with no EMH so anyone arriving at park opening will have first crack.

Very interesting.

Disney has changed EE before though, more recently than 8 years ago. We only started going to Disneyland in 2005, and I know that back then EE was not both days of the weekend. I believe back then the schedule was Sat/Mon/Tues/Thurs. We were actually kind of bummed when the Mon EE got switched to Sun because we missed having that one weekend day of being on even footing with everyone. I can't remember anymore when that last EE switch was, but it was sometime after 2007 or 2008 at least because I can remember having one or two Easter mornings with no early entry people in ahead of us, and we didn't start going on Easter Sunday until at least 2007. It might be nice to have one weekend day without early entry again.

It's "news" to Disney:

After September 29, Extra Magic Hour will be available every day, during a hotel stay, according to this schedule: Disneyland Park on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and Disney California Adventure Park on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

The discrepancy could be an error on the calendar or an exception for a holiday weekdend.

Thanks HydroGuy. Do you have a link to the published release?

I'm betting on the calendar being updated incorrectly.
You might be right but I am not so sure. Having both Sat and Sun dedicated to DL EMH seems a bit lopsided for weekend days. It makes sense to have one weekend day be DL and the other DCA.

Ooooh, your memory is very good and I you are totally right. I forgot about that. I think it was Jan 1, 2008 or so they changed the name from Early Entry to Magic Morning and changed the Monday to a Sunday.

Sundays, Sept 30, Oct 7 & 14 are all listed as EE for DCA. That looks like an official change to me. I wish DLR would update their website completely.
