No OB credit for the change. For us to move back to the Magic for the week of Thanksgiving the cost is $6328 for a Cat 5B. That is with the 10% OBB discount.
I guess we won't be keeping that reservation either
Maybe we will sail RCCL.
Nothing wrong with RCCL, IMO. We're doing one this January, as a matter of fact!
I would really like to voice my disapproval about this. It seems an awful lot like bait and switch. We booked the Magic after they released the info about the refurb. We got a great price. Then they give us the old ship or the ability to pay an additional $3000. Anyone know who to call?
I would just like to remind you that you are going by information given to you by your TA who didn't even know she would be able to call them for you today. Is there any way for you to check on your own? It's possible you can't, because they are holding back cruises *for us* for booking, and since you would be calling on your own instead of through your TA you probably can't. But...just try to make sure your TA is giving you the correct information this time? And I was going to say to call Disney, but you went through a TA so you're not going to be able to access changes, since you aren't the owner of your reservation. Frustrating.
As nervous as I was when I first opened this thread (before it even included the Dream in the title!), I do have to say that they are giving us a year and 3 months notice on this, which is pretty amazing. I do recognize that we are in a lucky position of having a husband who is allowed to take proper vacations without major wrangling, and not being on a school schedule because we homeschool, but still, that's a LOT of notice for changes.
