HEADS UP....Dream/Magic Itinerary Change Fall of 2014

Thanks. Our cruise was not scheduled to stop in Grand Cayman. It now is:confused3. Hmmmm....

Same here, we're on the Christmas sailing and I'm really hoping they don't move the date earlier as DH only flies in the day before our original departure date.

I don't know if they will switch dates for our Thanksgiving cruise, but it looks like we might be missing Castaway Cay :sad2:

It's a really interesting blog and well worth reading :thumbsup2

Scott is going to update his post with more info - looks like the Wonder is taking the sailings out if Miami for the Magic and the Magic is heading up to PC (probably to cover the Dream's dry dock). The 2-night cruise to CC is no longer......

We're booked on a four day on the Magic out of Miami in December 2014 and we just got an email today that the Magic will be moving to Port Canaveral in October and the Wonder will be sailing out of Miami. The email seems to indicate that we will automatically be switched to the Wonder for the same dates and itinerary that the Magic was originally supposed to be sailing. I guess this answers the question of what will be happening to the Wonder post dry dock. It also says that we can't look into changing anything until after June 11, so I guess that's going to be when the revised fall itineraries will be coming out.

Our dates changed from 11/6 to 11/7 sail date so we decided to switch to the 4 night cruise on 11/3 instead of the 3 night cruise on 11/7. So we will be at WDW 11/1/11/3 then cruise on 11/3-11/7, then back to the world 11/7-11/9. Has anyone done WDW before and after cruise? Thoughts?

That was going to be our plan for our 11/9 sailing. We were going to do WDW Nov 6th or 7th, through the 9th, and then back to WDW on the 13th for 3 days.

Just got the same email for our Nov 2014 cruise. It says everything will stay the same except for the ship. Instead of the Magic we will be on the Wonder. I REALLY wanted the Magic to see all the new things. Will the Wonder be going to dry dock before Nov 2014? Thanks :)

I haven't gotten the email yet, but if the Wonder has not received the same changes, I will be changing our cruise. I picked it to be on the Magic

Yep, I will be doing the same. I picked that cruise to be on the Magic not the Wonder. Pretty unhappy right now!!!

We are booked on the Magic out of Miami for the Thanksgiving cruise on 11/24/2014. Has anyone received any emails about changes to this cruise? I haven't received anything and just sent an email to my TA about the changes.

I really wanted to see the new magic and am a little bummed to be on the Wonder. I wish DCL would keep us on the magic out of PC.

We are on the same. Based on the calendar for Grand Caymen, it sounds like Scott may be right. The Magic is now going there on that Wednesday and the Wonder is there Monday. I would bet that the Magic will be doing 7 night sailings from PC that week. I can only imagine how inflated the prices will be to get back on the Magic for that week when the changes are finished.

I have not received any word yet either.

I got an email about our Nov 14th 2014 Magic cruise out of Miami this morning. The email said the Magic was moving to Port Canaveral so I am sure you will be receiving the email soon.

It said the cruise dates and such will be the same just on a different ship....Wonder. I am NOT happy!! We wanted the Magic. Not sure what we are going to do

The Wonder should be in dry dock Oct - Nov 2014. Any sailings affected should be on a post dry dock and re imagined Wonder. We can only speculate, but more than likely the Wonder will get the same upgrades as the Magic.

Beginning mid October the Wonder is scheduled to be sailing the Magic's schedule, so unless drydock occurs in early October, it is not happening in the fall.

The Wonder will be just upgraded, more than likely same as the new Magic.

That said, this makes no sense - They move the Magic to PC and leave the Wonder in Miami? So the Magic will be doing 7n Western? The Wonder will stay in MIA doing 4-7 Bahamas and Western?

Why the changes? Unless they are still not sure on the dry dock?

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned that the Dream was due for a short dry dock that fall as well. Could the Magic be being moved to PC to replace the Dream for a few weeks? Still doesn't make much sense, though. Why move the Magic to replace the Dream, then move the Wonder to replace the Magic? And where does the Wonder's drydock fit in? We're hoping to cruise in 2015 and we're really hoping the Wonder gets a major drydock before then, but now I'm just confused. :confused3

When new itineraries were announced, the Wonder did not have anything past mid October. My understanding was that the dry dock would come after this... After the dry dock, it would have sailed 7n western out of PC. But now who knows!

We were scheduled for being on the Magic too for Nov. 23rd. We got an e-mail stating that everything will be the same but now we will be sailing on the Wonder. I'm so mad that they are doing this since we booked and we wanted to be on the Magic. We have been on the Wonder a few times already. Not happy right now with them! I wonder if they will give priority in booking the Magic to everyone that booked it first for those dates? Hopefully, the prices are about the same!

I am confused as well and very upset!! We wanted the Magic NOT the Wonder!! This is part of the email that I got from DCL......

We are currently in the process of making plans to relocate the Disney Magic from Miami to Port Canaveral, Florida, in October 2014. The Disney Wonder will sail from Miami on the previously scheduled 4- and 5-night sailings of the Disney Magic. Our records indicate you are currently booked aboard one of these sailings and we wanted to reach out to you and let you know about this change. While the ship will change, your sail date, stateroom assignment and sailing itinerary will not change.

Over the next week, we will be making this modification in our reservation system. Once the change is complete, a revised confirmation will be sent to your attention.
