HEADS UP....Dream/Magic Itinerary Change Fall of 2014

I am going to hold off to see what happens this winter. Another 4/14 or 5/14 cruise is what I'm hoping for. They seem to be unsure of itineraries at the moment, so not much point in worrying about spring until they figure it out. (My friend was looking at a 4 day in March 13. Think that would be affected or should she hold off booking?)

I wish they would do a 5 day sailing though out of PC. That would be perfect...

I was booked on Nov 13 and it looks like my reservation will be moved to Oct 23. I guess we will most likely lose our room assignment too, which I was excited about. I booked on day 1 so I would have the best choice of room (as well as lowest price, although the prices have been holding). Now I need to see if the new date will work for me, and what room I end up with.

We were supposed to be on the 11/13 cruise as well to celebrate my daughter's birthday - now we're scheduled for 10/23. Ugh! I thought I had everything figured out and now I have to start all over. And I have to wait until next week to actually call and make the changes. Not how I wanted to spend Monday morning.

Sounds like still 4-nights and 3-nights. Departing on Monday for 4-nights; departing on Friday for 3-nights.

Monday is a lousy time to fly/drive back for a 3 day. Guess they think people will be spending time at the park in stead. But yuck. The Thr-Sun was much better for us because we had time to drive back and not have to take an extra day off. Who is the ding dong that thought that up...maybe its just temporary...

Also what about people who can't change their airfare? What is Disney going to do about that?

Thanks for posting this. For those who were moved from 11/13 to 10/23, I'm sure you could call and ask to be moved to 11/10 instead. That's a tough one if you have kids, though, as it will be Monday - Friday. Having to take a whole week off school for a 4-night cruise blows!

I would think that DCL will give everyone whose cruise is changing an OBC to compensate for all of the trouble. When they changed our Feb cruise on the Magic from an 8 night to 2 4 nights (4 months after we had booked), we had to switch to a totally different cruise 3 weeks later and they gave us a very nice OBC which came in very handy.

I think you have your years off...? 4/14 and 5/14 itineraries are available. March 13 is past...

Yeah Yeah I meant Mar 14 spring break. :p Also, I still don't trust the 4/14 and 5/15 that are available. Why would I? Oct & Nov 14 were available and those are getting changed...

This sucks royally for NJ folks planning on using teacher's convention days...

What we need to see now is what happens with the Magic moving to PC as OP indicated... Or is it because of the Wonder after it's dry?

Guess Im glad I didnt go and book the dream double dip which I had thought about, just did a little research on dates and am now booked cat t for a great price with back to back! wooo hoooo:thumbsup2

We were originally booked on a 3-night Dream cruise leaving 11/6/2014, now it's been pushed back to depart on 11/7 -- returning on Monday (Veteran's Day).

Oh, and NO STOP IN NASSAU!

Nassau has been replaced with a sea day. I guess that means I'll get some port fees back?

I am kind of torn about this... I wasn't getting off the boat in Nassau and planned to use it as a Spa Day, but now the boat will be full of people, so that may be out.

On the other hand it will give us all more time to enjoy the ship.

I am a little shocked that Disney did this, though. We were lucky that we could be flexable and did not purchase airfare yet, but I am sure there are some people who will have to cancel now.

It is a 4 night. They replaced Nassau with Castaway Cay.

Maybe they are concerned about people not getting off on Nassau any more. They figure two CC days can handle some on ship some on port and not have a security concern they can't control? Or maybe its fees etc. (Although I don't know if they have to pay to dock at CC?)

In any case, if this is the direction they are going, I'll be very glad I had gotten my two great Nassau days including Sea Lion. Maybe Disney can hire some of the trainers and set up their own animal encounters (besides rays)... because otherwise it won't be an option.

Would I complain about two CC days? HECKS no! (Especially as it is included! Husband skipped BL because of the $$...)

I'm wondering if they couldn't accomodate in Nassau with the change.....We would have been docked in Nassau on the 10th, and now the new sailing leaves on the 10th. So maybe Nassau was already at capacity?

I will merge this thread with the current one already posted.
