It's not long before parade I guess depends where you are viewing as the horseman is quick although no longer gallops, probably due to safety, and the parade is slow. He is very cool, hope you see him next time
If you are towards the end of the parade route, i.e. in the main hub or down Main street, it will be at least 10 minutes before the parade. We always prefer to watch the second parade as it is less crowded.
Thank you both very much - I realise what I did wrong - I watched from the end of the route and he'd come and gone by the time I got there!! I'll get there earlier this time!!!
We saw him by accident last year as we were eating at a table outside Casey's Corner before the first parade.
It was a good ten minutes as we still had time to finish our meal and walk (through the shop) to just outside the Railway Station before the parade actually started.
