No. Not at all. I am owner and have never been asked to go to presentations in any DVC resorts.

There is a member mingle, with some contests for DVC gifts (there was a Visa gift card of $200 offered as the big prize when we went years ago). You get juice and snacks. And there a tour a 2BR and grand villa that you sign up for. But DVC does not send any information to you. You have to stop by the DVC office to sign up for these events.

We went to the mingle once and did the tour once. Not enough there to draw us back. Although I did daydream a lot after touring the grand villa, boy what a view.

Yes, there’s a hurricane coming. We have friends on the Big Island, living in a flood plain. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

I do too! My friend is Mommytotwo here on the Disboards. We met in person 3 years ago on her beautiful island. We were on RCCL Cruise and it stopped near her home. We were (are) hoping to do the same next month.
My DSis has good friends who live on the Hilo side of the island, and they were not directly negatively affected by lava flow, but these rains are horrible!
Patsy is concerned about soil/tree loss in the flood plain.
