I hope you have a great weekend too Dana! The cake turned out okay. I only had a day to plan so it is what it is. I had to do some improvisation since I didn't have time to order the materials I normally use and I couldn't find what I needed here in town.

You better go look now, sounds like it's going to get pretty nasty on the coast. I hope you are dry. It is sooooo rainy here.

Three weeks from today we will be at Disney!!!!

Can't wait to see the cake! Hope y'all don't get too wet! We're supposed to get some rain but nothing really big.

You are lucky. It is a mucky mess out there today. I will post a pic of the cake in a bit. Nothing too fancy this time.

My Mom asked me to make my niece's cake Thursday afternoon so I had very little time to do any prep work. I looked all over town last night and of course no one had the fondant I like. I have fallen in love with Fondarific flavored fondant. Most fondant tastes like shoe soles (even the homemade Marshmallow Fondant which is a ton better than Wilton) but the Fondarific comes in a multitude of flavors and it is so delicious! It's soooo much easier to work with also, which my hands and back greatly appreciate.

Anyway, I had to make the cake with the supplies I had on hand. I only had about three pounds of fondant on hand so I really had to STTTRRRREEETTCCCHHHH it. Because the fondant is so thin, you can see the shape of the buttercream icing I piled on underneath it.
At least there was no major drama with this one thank goodness. It turned out okay for being thrown together at the last minute.

Well enough babbling.....here it is....

Unfortunately, I got water in the engine and we can't get the van to turn over now that we got it home. I will most likely have to buy a new vehicle in the next few days or weeks. What a bummer.
