Heading back to Princess Josie's Castle-An AKV May 22-29 PTR-TR Started 6/3!

What a multi-talented woman you are! I haven't sewed anything big since Lacey was little. I used to make her sundresses all the time. As she got a little older, she turned into a tomboy like her mama and didn't want to wear dresses or have a bow on anything. I even had to cut the little bows off her panties. She still hates dressing up but will if she has too. I'm the same way.

Anyway, you did a fantastic job and save those little girl moments as long as you can.
Thanks Lisa! I'm enjoying the sewing so much. I was a tomboy too and I feel like a duck outta water when I have to wear a dress. My girls are a good mix of both.

Why not do Sea World? (Spoken like a woman who has never been off Disney property when in Orlando!:rotfl:)

Love the dress!!! I will have to go visit the site you mentioned. Did you get a progamable sewing machine? Mine is just a small Singer with a couple of handfuls of stitches. I would love to figure out the applique thing!

BTW, your package should arrive today!;) (It was sorted through your hometown PO this morning!...love tracking and confirmation!)

Lynn

You are so funny Lynn. I do not have a programmable machine. My machine is fairly basic as well. You only need a zigzag stitch to applique....your machine probably has that.

I got the package. I will post an update in a bit!! Thank you so very much!!

I love Sea World! John doesn't care for it at all. Hunter hasn't been since he was very small so he doesn't remember too terribly much about it but when he looks at the pictures, he swears he remembers.

My Mama has never seen a whale and we thought about taking a day off and going to Sea World simply so she could say she's seen a whale. However, it would be a pretty steep price to pay just to say that.
That $70/person price tag is just too high. I mean it isn't Disney or anything. :lmao: I wouldn't be considering it at all if it weren't for the bargain on the tickets for the kids. We are saving like $55 per ticket with that promotion. :confused3 I am pretty sure I'm going to buy some tickets on Friday and put them up for Joe's b-day.

I understand how you feel with your Mama. I would be torn as well. You want them to see everything but gosh that's a lot of money. :goodvibes

Wow, I have been missing out over here! You have been so busy and where in the world have I been anyway?

What a cute story about the DS. She did try, didn't she?

That cake is awesome! I am ready to have cake for lunch, now! You sure have patience! :goodvibes

I love that dress you made! ...and you Countdown Calendar...love the puzzle idea.

And I think you should go to Sea World for sure! We went for the 1st time last year and the whole family really enjoyed it. You'll have a great time!

Where have you been B?? :lmao: Thanks for the compliments. :goodvibes

I'm glad your family enjoyed it. I think we will give it another try. I'm so addicted to Disney almost hate the thought of not being there. I have it bad don't I?? :lmao:

that is such an adorable dress!! I love it! Of course, the model is adorable too. :goodvibes: I want to try applique too but I am nervous about it!

I would say go for it since it is not interfering with any of your other plans. Plus with Joe wanting to Sea World--what a great gift for him! I know I would love to go (never been) but it is not going to happen this trip.
Thanks Stephanie! Don't be nervous about the applique. Just look at the tutorial on the Family Board Disboutique thread and you will be all set. You're a smart lady you won't have any problems.

I'm 98% sure that I'm buying tickets. :goodvibes

Hope everyone is having a nice evening! We received a special package today from Lynn (cajunfan). I met Lynn first on the Big Give board and then in person at the Disney Store at Opry Mills the weekend before it closed.:sad2: Lynn was a CM there! Anyway, for those of you that do not know Lynn, she is amazing. She does a lot of really nice things for children being sent to Disney through Make-a-Wish and organizations of that sort.

Lynn sent these really cute crayon rollups for the girls. There's one for Lindsey, Josie and Lexie. They are so cute and they are going to be perfect for the plane. :goodvibes I have been wanting to make some rollups but I had never seen one in person. Lynn really wanted to do this for the girls and I am so glad she did. I now have something to look at so that I can make some for some special friends as well. :goodvibes

Here's a pic of them...

Thank you so much Lynn! The girls are so happy and excited. Between you and Dana they have some really special things to put in their plane backsacks this year!

Those are so cute!!!! What a great way to travel with crayons. Go to SW. If you're getting the great discount and have the time for it, go for it!

The crayon roll-ups are cute---that was really sweet.

I went to Sea World as a kid and remember loving it. We've never gone with our kids, but I know that they'd enjoy it. :)

Thanks Megan! I think we are going to make it over to SW. I intend to purchase tix tomorrow if all goes well. It's top secret. Only my DIS family knows. :goodvibes

I think it was really sweet also Michelle! Who knew I would make such a good friend because I posted a pic of some stuff for a Wish kid that cajunfan thought looked like merchandise from her Disney store! :woohoo:

I think the girls will really like and I know Joe will too. I will make do not that I won't enjoy myself, it's just not Disney and that's where my heart is. :sad2:

Oh, I love the crayon rollups when I see them too. They are awesome and will be great for the plane!!!

Thanks Pam! Lynn did a great job. They will be perfect for the plane for sure. Let me know if your girls would like some for your upcoming trip. With the rollups, Lynn sent me the instructions and some pre-cut material. I'd be happy to pay it forward. :goodvibes
