So I FINALLY made it back to give you the skinny on this past weekend. Sorry for not updating yesterday, I was busy with Scouts and then we've majorly changed the plan for my Mom and Dad's vow renewal so I was working on that last night with my Mom. I will give you an update on that this week too!
Anyway so Friday night Joe and I had a date night. Lindsey spent the evening with her best buddy (it was her birthday party) and Josie spent the night with Nana and Pop. (Them moving with 8 miles has it's advantages!!!

). Joe and I went to see Cop Out at the movies. It was so FUNNY!!!! We really enjoyed watching an R rated film. Joe took me out to eat at Longhorn also. It was yummy like always!!

We had a good time together. Between the movie and dinner we went over to Old Navy and killed some time. I found the cutest dress for Josie to wear at the luau for less than $4. I will post a pic towards the end of the PTR when I do my wardrobe download.
Anyway Saturday morning we headed to Lousiville for the Kentucky Crafted Exhibition and Market. It is incredible. This is a showcase of Kentucky artisans/crafters and their work. There's food, clothing, miniature dollhouse furniture, music, glasswork, paintings, jewelry, furniture...you name it! I love this show and I always walk away with something fun and unique to bring home. Here are some pics from my phone...I let Lindsey be the photographer....
Up first some handcrafted jewelry...
Next we have some super cool metal work for yard/home:
Next we have a sweater and hat...you wouldn't believe how wonderful this stuff feels..
Up next unique pottery....love this planter and bowl...
Up next glasswork...beautiful!
Some original paintings...
Finally some handcrafted stuffed animals...
It was a great time. Afterwards, we went to the KingFish to eat. YUM!!! It's a seafood place (y'all know I'm not a big seafood eater) but this was actually scrumptious! It's right on the Ohio River and we had a table next to a ginormous window. We enjoyed a meal and got to watch boats and huge barges going up and down the river. It was great!
Saturday night we had dinner with some friends and did a little more shopping, this time at Kohl's. Found Josie some big healed flippers for our trip. We should have no trouble meeting the height requirements now.
Sunday we played outside in the sun for awhile and then headed off to see Alice in Wonderland. This is a great movie. I do think some of the scenes are scary for little ones. I have some tough girls that closed their eyes a couple of times but raved about the movie after we left. They loved it. If your kids scare easily I wouldn't spend the money. I might wait for the DVD. Visually, it is fantastic.
