Heading back to Princess Josie's Castle-An AKV May 22-29 PTR-TR Started 6/3!

ooooh I love Princess Night!!!! The girls look adorable. I love the Mickey ears!! Cupcakes look delish!! The girls must be getting SO excited!! Tonight we went to Disney on Ice.... OMG, It made me feel like we were back in Disney, after the show I was all set to walk to my beautiful room at the Poly.... but we ended up having to take the subway home instead :sad1:
Thanks Nickie! We had a good time. We try to do a little something fun when Joe is working over the weekend. Keeps us from missing him. We did Disney on Ice in 2007 and it was so great! We loved it too. I imagine the subway isn't near as fun as the monorail. :sad2:

What a fun princess night! Your girls are just the cutest all dressed up in their princess dresses and Minnie ears!! :lovestruc Great idea to decorate the cupcakes with princess sprinkles! Oh--and my girls LOVE salad, too! Ally even chooses to eat it sometimes at school! And yay for the cute postcard! I bet your girls were excited to get it!! My girls LOVE getting mail--and better yet, from Disney World!! :goodvibes

Hello everyone,:yay::yay:
I am new to this forum. I am married to 1970rs and we have a 12 yr old son & 7 yr old daughter. My family and I are planning a trip to Disney May 22-29. I enjoyed reading everyones posts and can feel your excitment for past and future trips. This will be my 3rd trip to Disney. The family is trying out the Wilderness Lodge this time (I think it will be fun for my 12 yr old son). Leanne, Lexie decided to be made up like Hannah Montana instead of a princess. I hope she won't be disappointed! Snow is coming tonight , Kids already will have to miss a week of school for the trip. We are so excited about vacationing with two princesses, a mom and grouch, LOL.

Welcome!! Can't wait to hear what you guys think of WL! We are very excited to meet you guys-we have 2 princesses a mom and Grumpy:)

Thanks Becky! We get a lot of use out of our princess dresses around here. Got the Minnie ears at the Disney warehouse just on the other side of the state line. They were like $3/pair and too cute to pass up...especially since they were so bling bling. :rotfl: The postcards were really nice. Queen and Jasmine did a great job on them. I think it's great that our girls will eat salads. I'm trying to lose a few pounds so when the girls want salads I'm all for it! Hope you had a nice Valentine's Day weekend!

That fills me with such joy, I can't even tell you!!!:cloud9: When the kids left tonight to go out for their Valentine's Day dinner, I made the mistake of checking prices out for later this year:confused3I know unless my bonus is extraordinary this year (who knows in the financial industry how the year will fare) it's not going to happen, but I thought it might make me feel better;)

We are having a great weekend:yay:I was woken this morning with the phone ringing...it was my 5 year old niece calling me from Fort Lauderdale before they got on the cruise ship. Apparently, they were discussing how annoying little sisters can be to big sisters and my darling sister told them there was no more annoying little sister than I was.....so Mini Montana needed to ask me about that:cloud9:Love those kids to death....she made a point of telling her sister the next time we all go to WDW together, that Aladdin is sitting with HER on all the rides.....:rolleyes1

Back to work for me on Monday:confused3
Hi Queen! Playing with the numbers and seeing what I might be able to do keeps me going between trips. Mini Montana is too cute. I don't think you could have been as annoying as my little sister. I"m pretty sure that Lindsey would disagree too. The girls really love Aladdin don't they? They are too cute! :goodvibes

Leanne your girls are just too precious! I love your princess theme night. We need to do something like that here. That is totally what Disney is all about--making memories to cherish forever...even when you can't be at the parks! :goodvibes

Thanks so much Kayce! :goodvibes You're exactly right. It was such a simple, inexpensive way to have fun together, stir some excitement about our trip and make some memories. If you do a night with Bella I hope you will share some pics. :goodvibes

Thanks Michelle! We had a great time. I'm thinking our next Disney night will be a Polynesian night. I've got some ideas on what we may do. :goodvibes

Oohhh, sounds fun---- flower leis, Hawaiian shirts/grass skirts, Lilo and Stitch.....You can play Poly music ( I think Tikiman has some on his website):thumbsup2

CAN I COME, CAN I COME ??? :hyper:

Hi Rosie! I was just thinking about you. What is the title of your latest TR so I can keep up with you? How was your trip? :goodvibes

Come on over-the more the merrier! I bought Joe a Big Green Egg for Christmas and we have really enjoyed cooking on it so far. I'm thinking we will do chicken and steak kabobs on it in the spirit of Ohana's also. Love your ideas-I can totally see my girls in some grass skirts :thumbsup2. I saw that Dana posted the recipe for lapu lapu's and we might have to make up some of those :rolleyes1. We have a great dollar store and I can find most of this stuff there. You have me even more excited!!

Be sure to post when you start. Sounds like you guys had a great time!

Thanks so much Julia for stopping by and for the kind words about my girls. :welcome: I love to bake. It's a great snowy, cold-day activity. I need to stop by your PTR and see what you have going. :goodvibes

Girl, I got behind. I couldn't get logged in on the Disboards all weekend. It was giving me all kinds of log in failure messages. I think I even had a fever....diagnosis? Disboard withdrawals! :lmao:

The pictures of the girls on Disney night were precious! They are so pretty. I wish I had thought about Disney nights when my kids were still young enough to enjoy them.

Wait, I forgot to post about the softball pictures. Lacey used to play softball and loved it. She played from the time she was 5 until she was in the 8th grade. She would have kept playing then but it became too "political" (and I use that term 'cause I don't want to say what horses' behinds everybody started to be ;)). I think it's great for kids to be involved in sports. Hopefully, your girls will follow in your footsteps.

Thanks for stopping by Lisa.:goodvibes I had a lot of issues with the DIS the last part of the week also. Seems to be working okay right now. :confused3

Thanks for the sweet words about the girls. I think they're pretty cute too. :goodvibes

I've heard that softball gets competitive and becomes a popularity contest around here. I hope that's not the case. Poor Lindsey is just starting and she's going to be 10 this summer. :sad2: She took horseback riding lesssons for a several years but we grew tired of paying people to teach her to ride in circles. She has a natural talent with horses. We've been looking for a little bigger home with at least five acres for a few years now. Joe grew up with horses so it just makes more sense to get her one of her own. When we find the right place everything will fall into place I'm sure. :goodvibes

Princess night with cupcakes and a movie? It can't get much better than that :goodvibes. I so wish I could get my crew to do stuff like that. Couldn't you just see Dale in a grass skirt and a leis :lmao:. I don't think the world is ready for that picture :rotfl2:.
