Thanks Lisa! I gave her a big hug from you. She said "tank you Miss Lisa".Poor Josie! Thank goodness she's a trooper. Give her a big hug and tell her Mrs. Lisa hopes she feels better.
Thanks Connie! I have been coating her lips with stuff but like the Dr. said, you have bacteria in your mouth and all over you skin. It's kind of gross when you think about it.Poor Josie!
Ashton had been doing the same with his lips; we were using Neosporian (my MIL had a fit) but we put it on at night and chapstick or vaseline a few times a day...I hope the antibotics kick in quick!!! Maybe some frozen yogurt or popsicles will help the swellling and numb the area.
Awww, poor Josie! Hoping for a speedy recovery.
But congrats to you on your A's and being done until June...I'll bet there was a huge sigh of relief when that was over!
I am officially done with classes until June 1st!!!!
Got an A in both classes so I am very pleased....not too bad considering I haven't been in school in years. Now let the REAL planning begin!![]()
Josie has had terribly chapped lips-so chapped they have been bleeding. We've been coating them with lots of vaseline and they look a little better and then a day later they look horrible.
Right after I posted this afternoon Joe called me completely freaked out. When he went to pick up Josie her mouth was really swollen. He brought her to me at work to have a look and wouldn't you know it - she looked terrible. I called the pediatrician while he went home to get Lindsey off the bus. They are so great there-they worked us right in with very little wait.
Needless to say Josie has a pretty bad infection. She's on antibiotics by mouth for the next week. She is such a trooper. I think the 22 visits to the Peds office the first year (because of Asthma related problems) has made her really tough. You would never know anything was wrong with her because she never lets it slow her down. We are keeping her home tomorrow and maybe Wednesday if she's not looking better. Don't you hate it when your babies are sick?

She was looking much better already. It's no worse anyway. Thanks for the hugs Mary!Ah, poor girl. Big hugs coming from Az as well. Hope it clears up fast.
Thanks Michelle! I look forward to the day when this school stuff is behind me.YAY!!
for being finished with your classes! I remember how difficult it is to juggle grad school, working full time, and taking care of two children---but it will be worth it !
Sorry to hear Josie is not feeling so well. Hope she feels better soon!![]()
Thanks Becky!Poor Josie!! I hope she starts to feel better real soon!![]()
You are too sweet Dana!Poor Josie I know it has to hurt. I know when my lips get dried and cracked they burn and hurt. I will keep her in my prayers that she heals fast.
She is one tough cookie just like her Mama. You are such a good role model for her she sees how you do things and she wants to be the same. Building a strong little lady there. I hope she is feeling much better tomorrow. Yes I do hate it when my kids get sick. Even if Amanda and Tyler are grown.........lol.
I will be sure to give her some hugs when I get home this afternoon.Poor Josie!! Chapped lips are hard enough when they're not infected, I can't imagine how they must hurt! Give her big hugs from us and tell her we're thinking of her![]()
I will be sure to give her some hugs when I get home this afternoon.
I wish you were coming down in May Queen. I'd love to meet you in person.![]()
Yay you found it! There will be a lot of chatter on here. A lot about trying to convince you to come along too.Hello everyone, we are the McFarlands.
Ok, we are newbies to the board, but not to Disney. Our last trip was in 2008 and we are going back on May 22-29 this year and looking forward to it more and more every day.
I have heard alot about everyone here on the board and look forward to meeting some of you in May.
We went the same time as Leanne and Joe in 2008 and we will be travelling together again this year. We had such a great time then and we are so looking forward to it again.
I am looking forward to checking out the boards more and become a part of the DIS family.
Now I have to get caught up on this post...
Sounds like a plan! I'll buy some too and if I win you're coming with!Thank you, I thought of her this afternoon when I saw my niece with her chapped lips.
You are so sweet, I wish I was going in May too, how much fun would we have?I will keep buying those lottery tickets and hope for the best!!

You are too sweet Dana! Thanks so much for the prayers. I know they are working! She seemed to be feeling a little better this morning. Her lips aren't quite as swollen.
I really do hope my girls grow up to be strong, smart women who can take are of themselves if they have to.![]()
