oh , what a precious baby..hes so cute..........congrats!!!!! it def. is the best thing in the world. we have 1 GS, he is just over 2 now, they live out of state...which is so hard.....but you know how you love your children, there is nothing like love for a grandchild...........enjoy...... my dh is already planning to take our little one to disney , and sea world...haha..

Thank you, everyone, for all the congrats and kind words! Yeah, he won't be spoiled or anything!

I still have a hard time thinking of myself as a grandma. And, now my mother is a great-grandma!

Believe me, we are counting are blessings. The past few months have been extremely hectic, and things have worked out almost too good to be true. We are loving Arizona and being so close to all three of our kids. Our youngest daughter continues to thrive at college, and Carter came at just the right time in all of our lives.

The only thing that hasn't fallen into place is the sale of our house in Maine. We were hoping to sell before we moved to Arizona. All things considered, it isn't that big of a deal. Right now, we are very happy with the way things have turned out.

If he was the smallest, how big was the biggest baby?

One of the nurses told us that she was in charge of twelve babies that were born yesterday. She said ten of them were girls and two were boys. Carter was the smallest at just over 9 pounds. She said at least several of the babies were over 10 pounds. That's a lot of big, bouncing babies!

I think I will neglect to show this thread to my daughter (expecting my first grandchild in October). She'd love to see the baby, but if she read the post she might panic.

I was thinking the same thing, 9 lbs and he's the smallest? What the heck is in the water??
