...and now he only has 9 1/2.
Parents - even when your kids are grown - you never stop being a parent. DH & I sweated for a short time last Sunday morning until DH spoke to our oldest son. Younger son had called DH to say that a neighbor of the boys (they live together at college) called to say that older son was in the hosp. Turns out he fell right in front of their apt (how - he doesn't know) and lodged, then yanked his left "pinky" in a drainage grate. Somehow, his finger got cut - clear through! Thankfully, he heard a neighbor - called to her & she called 911. He bled A LOT. He had sugery Sunday morning and he now is missing the tip and distal joint.
Yes, he had been drinking. But he knew not to drive - a friend dropped him off. And, his neighbor said that he was very lucid when the paramedics arrived.
So, I'm not asking for pixie dust or anything.
Just remember: DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF!!
