Will I be able to make it to the DVC fireworks cruise if I am also attending the 6:15 HDDR?? (Mid-October if that helps)

I have to book the dining before I can call for the cruise and I really don’t want to go to the 4pm HDDR. If I can’t get the cruise, I’d almost prefer the 8:30 show.

Well….I won’t be able to do the 6:15 show AND fireworks. The fireworks are at 9 and so we’d need to be there by 7:30. I wasn’t able to book the 6:15 HDDR either because we “need” Cat 1 and they are already sold out. So now I wait until I find out if the cruise is still available. If not, we will probably take the 8pm HDDR. If I get lucky, then I can book the 4pm show.

I got both!

The fireworks cruise leaves at 8:00 and we have to report to the dock at 7pm. This means that the 6:15 HDDR would be too late. I booked Cat 1 seats for the 4pm show. To top it off, IT’S MY 50th BIRTHDAY!!

An added bonus…we leave on Thursday but not until 8pm. I decided to book the DVC bass fishing trip for DH and I. I have have been on it 4 times and love it, but DH has not fished at WDW since 2008.

Here’s our “itinerary” for my birthday/no-parks trip…
Arrive Monday at 11am and check in to our studio at CCV. Assuming that it won’t be ready so we will head to DS or eat at Roaring Fork for lunch. We don’t want to fill up because we have a 5:30pm reservation for Topolino’s. After dinner, I think I will take DH on a “Skyliner Tour” since he has not seen it yet. The last time he was in WDW was 2016.

Tuesday, we will have lunch at Steakhouse 71 before heading to the MK for MNSSP. DH has already told me that HE WANTS CANDY:crazy:. I also want to get him on TRON and maybe Tiana’s, if the line isn’t too long. I’m coming back with my friend in December and we are doing the parks for a full week, including MVMCP, so I am not worried about cramming rides in during the party.

Wednesday, after sleeping in, we will be off to the HDDR at 4, followed by the fireworks cruise. What a great way to celebrate my birthday:lovestruc

Thursday, we are going fishing in the morning, followed by a leisurely, relaxing lunch at Geyser Point. Then we will just hang out at the resort and chill by the pool until about 5pm when it will be time to head back to the airport.

Wow- that sounds like a terrific Birthday... so glad that your plans worked out! We have really enjoyed the 4pm HDDR, it allows us to relax for a minute after the show and before we head to the lakefront or MK and view the fireworks to close out the evening. What a great Birthday :bday:
