HDD only category 2 or 3 with dining plan?

I just spoke to dining ressie and they told me I can only book category 2 and 3 with dining plan? Is this correct? We'd like category 1 especially if we are using two tAble credits and it's available

You can book category 1 seating for only the 8:30 show at HDDR when using the DDP. All other shows are category 2 or 3 only.

We used two dining credits and did the 8:30pm show to get category 1. Our table was front and centre and I was even picked to be the can can girl. Overall, it was a lot more fun than I was expecting!

I'm so frustrated I just got off the phone with Disney dining again and she also told me only level 2 or 3. I'm not sure what to do as we really want level 1 and are paying for deluxe dining

No reason to be frustrated about it. The stipulations for HDDR are in the DDP and DxDDP brochure in plain black and white. Category 2 or 3 only for the first two shows, and all three categories are bookable for the 8:30 show on the DDP.

I tried to call but they are closed so I went in and tried for the third show and it let me book with dining plan. So yay!! But pretty concerning that two seperate dining reps on the phone told me I was not able to book category 1 at any show with dining plan

you were able to do what I have never been able to do but I have gotten cat 1 for 830 every time we have gone when I called. glad it worked for you and yes we were on dining plan
