Hayrides?

How much are they? When do they have them? What are they like? What is the meaning of life?

Just a few questions for those of you who know more than me.

LOL! I'm not sure what the meaning of life is.....but I know Fort Wilderness is in there somewhere!!

Here's information on the hayrides:
Old Fashioned Wagon Ride: 45-minute rides are offered on a first-come,
first-served basis. Wagon rides depart nightly at 7:00pm and 9:30pm. The
horse-drawn wagon rides offer a scenic tour through the forest trails.
Sometimes special fireworks wagon rides are offered (schedule depends on the Magic Kingdom hours). $8 adults, $4 children.

Has anyone here ever taken or known someone who has taken a fireworks wagon ride? I've read about them on allears, well, read that they are available anyway. I've never read a report from anyone who's actually been on one though. My DS and I will be at Disney late September/early October, and according to past hours, Wishes should be at 9:00 on Spectro nights. That's when the fireworks wagon rides supposedly are held...9:00 fireworks nights. We'd love to do one if they have them. I'm wondering if they know, or if we could find out, in advance and how early we'd need to show up to get a space.

We went in Aug '03, and had a nice time. Picked up by TEB, no ressies required. The driver was very chatty and nice, told us how one of the team was new to this, and was practicing standing still! We went down and around loop 300, very pretty in the dark with the tree frogs croaking and the Spanish moss hanging low. Driver showed us a croc(alligator?) in the water with his spotlight near the canal. Ended up "parked" between the canal and the sand beach to see the fireworks, with piped in music to listen to. It's a very low-key event, but we're outdoorsy people and found it very peaceful and serene. We're planning on doing it again this July...
