I realize this rumor has been around before, and you're probably right, but I'm curious why you think it wouldn't be a possibility.

My thinking is that DVC members are predominantly more Eastern U.S., while Hawaii timeshare owners are more west coasters. Furthermore, most DVC-ers will probably go to Hawaii at least once or twice in their lifetimes.

I think it would be a much safer bet than HH or VB, and is the ONLY location for which I would add on.

Is DVC completely gun shy from ever wandering off property again?

Because we've seen DVC go into their shell. They owned the site in CA and had even announced a DVC there, then when HH and VB had slow sales, they backed off. They also had an agreement for CO to purchase an existing hotel then add DVC, that too fell through. They also were looking at a place in NY and that dried up. I see NO more off property resorts. I'd love to be wrong on this one.

While I doubt that also, it is at least a plausible rumor.

Sounds great, thanks for posting your CM discussion, goodcook5. I'd like to see this as a new DVC theme. Who knows, maybe it will be in proximity to the monorail, even if it is the Epcot line.

It would seem the greatest impediment to expanding DVC is not lack of potential, but lack of motivation. I would rather be in their system than Marriott, Hilton, or Hyatt. Current DVC owners alone could probably lease out an entire Hawaiian condo for them.
