Having trouble redeeming Disney Visa rewards

Is anyone else running into problems? I have loads of reward dollars I want to cash in on a new rewards card. Them problem is I can see my reward balance, but when I go to choose my rewards, a window pops up saying "loading your account", then never goes away. The other day I managed to get all the way through the ordering process for the rewards only to get a message that my order could not be submitted. It seems like it is a technical glitch with the website but I haven't had time to contact Chase.

Sorry, I have never tried to use the card online. We always use ours at WDW. Your card should still be valid when you do to WDW next.

I did the same thing you are doing and then finally called. I was told you have to call and the website was misleading. Hope this helps - go ahead and call.

I think that the website is having issues...but after messing around for awhile last night I was able to get it to work.

I called the other day. Both my name and my husband's is on the card. They won't let me request the Disney Rewards, my husband needs to. I tried the next day and said I was Terry. They asked who Marisa was-that's me. They still won't let me request it. I told them I am from Wisconsin, everything is 50/50, they still wouldn't budge. So tomorrow I will do all the calling again and when I finally get a customer service rep on the line, I will hand the phone to dh and he will ask for our Disney Rewards.

When that window popped up today for me, I waited a few seconds, then hit the Back button on my browser. It took me to the correct thing. I selected Transfer Reward Dollars in the dropdown box, and transferred dollars to my Reward card.

Mari: Your husband needs to call and have you added the rewards card as a qualified user (or something like that, I can't remember the correct term!). Only the primary user can add reward $$ unless another user is added to the rewards account. It has nothing to do with whose name is on the Visa card or marital property.

It's not an expired card is it? Mine expired 12/31/06. Just a thought, I've never had problems transferring points online.

I had trouble the other day, too-- called for one of them, and was able to order the other rewards card online. The one I ordered online is already here, but the one I called about hasn't arrived yet. Keep trying, and good luck!

Thanks everyone for the replies. I was ordering a new rewards card to put the points on so it isn't like I was using an expired one--good point though.

I've done it previously online (a year or more ago) and didn't have a problem. I will try again on line and then maybe give them a call. I have a couple months before our trip, but I wanted to get the card now and just call to transfer dollars as more are available in my account.

I was told there was an upgrade on the internet regarding the entire rewards programs for Chase. The Disney card is not the only one to experience problems. So it may not be you. You'll just have to call cs to get the card or transfer the reward $.

Here is possibly a scenario about why Disney has this policy in place. Imagine you are saving for a vacation. Your child, boyfriend, girlfriend etc, sees something they want to buy in the store or on the web, (or could be an ex without your permission) and orders the card, or transfers $. You then find out this is gone on the next billing statement. You will not be able to recoup this and we all know how long it takes to earn these $.
I'm pretty sure the reps are not trying to purposely get anyone upset.Only doing their job.

By the way, I can imagine how silly it is for someone to pretend on the phone they are the opposite sex.It's got to be really funny
