On April 26th I upgraded to the new Disney rewards visa. On May 26th I received my statement which incorrectly stated my rewards balance. (way too low) I called Chase and they said that someone from "marketing" would be in touch. I received a form letter indicating that the balance was correct. No way. One of my charges at the 1% level was $2595. Total rewards points for the 1% category was $11.91. Any other experiences like this? Do I have to call and get a supervisor involved?

Do the math, and keep calling until you are satisfied.

I set up a spread sheet to keep track of our purchases to make sure they are going into the right catagories and we are getting the correct % rewards.

It's been a task to keep up with, but I'm making sure we get the correct rewards.

We did have a problem the 1st month, which I knew was going to happen, where it takes a lil while for the system to catch up and establish the rewards.

Some of the problem is how the purchase is coded. As you know each store, resturant, place of business is coded to Visa, and the points are all determied on how Visa has them coded.

Such as, they recognize SuperTarget and SuperWalMart as grocery stores(5%) but if on your statement it just comes up as Target or WalMart, then it's not clarified as a grocery and is not the 5%.

Now if it's just plain bad math, like your saying, there's no way Visa can get around that, anybody who can do mental math knows 1% of $2595 is $25.95 not$11.xx.
