Having Second thoughts about CRT for Dinner

I didn't know that the menu had changed since we'd been there last. I am not sure I like the new choices. I was really looking forward to the "Slipper" desert. I just don't know if it's worth 2 Dinner Credits. I would like to hear from anyone who has been recently or anyone else who is considering CRT for dinner. Thanks

We've been to the Magic Kingdom more times than I can count and have never eaten at CRT. I know that the atmosphere is supposed to be what "makes" the meal there but I just don't see anything on the breakfast, lunch or dinner menus that appeal to our family. Certainly, there's nothing (for us) that merits using two table service credits.

you do know the slipper dessert has to be booked and ordered seperatly and paid for as an extra, its not on the dining plan.

We just came back from having breakfast at CRT. I can honestly say it was really great. The food was excellent, the atmosphere beautiful and the character interaction was great. We saw Jasmine, Belle, Snow White, Fairy Godmother and of course Cinderella downstairs for the picture, which is included in the package. I highly recommend it. Sorry I can't comment on dinner, but the breakfast was definately worth the 2 TS credits in my opinion. My DD(5) is still talking about it. princess:

Yes, I think that is what the OP was talking about. It used to be on the menu, thus free if you were on the dining plan. She is bummed that it is no longer on the menu.

OP, it can still be ordered for $12.50 if you call ahead of time.

I did really enjoy my dinner there but it was before the menu change and the price increase. I no longer think it's worth it.

Good luck deciding.

We ate here last year for dinner and it was bad.. very bad. We were on the free DDP thankfully or I would have been mad to have paid all of that for what we got. The food was inedible. The dinner menu is just not good IMO. We are going for breakfast this year since DD really wants to eat there but we are doing it OOP.

We actually ate there last year for dinner (we paid OOP even though we had the dining plan) and it was great. DH knows he gets dragged there because it is in the Castle and he has no choice. However, he proclaimed it one of the better meals we had on the trip.

we ate there for dinner last year, and it was DISGUSTING! the food was inedible... seriously!! we left there starving. AND we got sick afterwards.

the 'show' they put on now was not enjoyable. the fairy godmother and the mice dance and sing around the room, but there's no "real" character interaction. i would never do it again, even if it were free.

I've done breakfast a few times and really enjoyed it, and would do it again. :goodvibes

I had been for dinner there several times in the past, and the food was always ok (not the best, but the atmosphere made up for it). It was a quiet dinner (well, quiet for disney ;) )

i'm disappointed they have the whole character thing now at dinner. i always thought it was 'enough' to just be eating in the castle, and if you wanted more, do breakfast. lunch w/ the princesses would have been fine too.

hth!
