Has anyone ever tried to hire Mickey or Minnie Mouse for a private function?

I read on these boards that you can hire either for $450/hr.

I called WDW and they said only with a catered event.

Does anyone have any experience otherwise.

The first girl I spoke with said you just have to set up a private meeting and be a guest in one of the resorts and then the 2nd girl I spoke with said only with a catered function.

I'm not sure this is the right board to post on but I'll get moved if it's not.

Thanks in advance.

I love Mickey as much as the next person, but NO WAY would I pay that rate. He is in too many places to see for free.

A good way to have Mickey all to yourself (even if just for a few minutes) is to be an 'early arrival' at his house in Toontown. If there isn't much of a line at the meet n greet, you can be leisurely about autographs/pics, etc.

Another way is to have your picture taken with him in Downtown Disney Marketplace. you have all to yourself in the studio.

I have to agree with Ratpack. There is no way I would pay $450/hr to hire Mickey Mouse.

I do know that you can hire both Mickey and Minnie if you would like them to attend your Disney Wedding though.
