So, I found out today that most people I work with pay over the amount or WELL over the amount I pay each month for my phone. Interesting.

I'm starting to wonder what my monthly bill would be like with the iPhone. I do get a percentage off for my NJEA membership, but I am not sure if it is 10% or 20%. I'll have to look into it.

I don't think it's unusual to pay a $75+/month phone bill, especially with some of the technology available. I was playing around with Verizon's website yesterday, and I figured that I would spend a little over $100/month if I wasn't part of my family's plan. I guess it all depends on what you use, but I honestly think the web/media packages are well priced considering what you would pay per byte if you didn't have them.

Just keep looking around... maybe something better than the iPhone will come out.

Once you have it, you'll wonder why you waited so long and will try to figure out what you ever did before your iPhone. You know all of the times when you think, "Man, I really wish I had my computer in front of me!" - with the iPhone, you WILL have your computer in front of you! And really the apps are the biggest thing. Just think, you have Dis any time of the day from just about anywhere

When you said "wait until May 1" I thought something was coming out May 1! That is, until I went up a bit and found this post I hadn't clicked on the commercial before this morning but thanks to the commercial, I have 3 shiny new apps on my phone I am so excited about Snaptell, Photogene, and Sqeeze It (that one wasn't on the commercial but it looked so cool - seemed similar to Teresa's Face Melter and it is FREE!!

Why can't you switch to AT&T? Are still under contract with Verizon?

I had Verizon until I got my iPhone and I really haven't noticed any difference between the two carriers. One will have dead spots where the other doesn't. Neither Verizon or AT&T are perfect.

ROFLMAO...so I read this at work during my lunch break today and spit PESTO PIZZA all over my laptop! This was hysterical!!!!!

I'm in the same boat with all this. I want a new phone. I want the IPhone but I don't want to shell out the extra $30 dollars a month for the unlimited data plan that the IPhone required. I was looking at upgrading my sony erickson to the Razr but the stores here don't carry the Razr anymore. Maybe when this lower cost Iphone comes out that may work out for me.

I second that. I was in the same predicament. I didn't want to spend the extra $30.00 or so every month but now that I have it, I won't give it up.
