Yep! Get ready to feed that addiction. I just recently cleaned and organized my case I keep all my pots in and realized that I had over 20 eye colors. Alot of times I buy collections from QVC so it's not hard to accumulate stuff pretty quickly! I LOVE makeup and have tried everything and I am a BE fan for life!:thumbsup2

I have never been a big "play" person with makeup, mainly because the threshold for screwing up and having to wash and start all over has been pretty high. I get a look or two down, and that's about it. I like this stuff, though, since it's all a matter of layering, and is a lot more forgiving. I'll be interested to see if I see a difference in my skin over time (I certainly hope so!).

Trust me, no one in their right mind would plan to have children a year apart or four in four years for that matter I have a friend who had a very difficult time getting pregnant with her second child and then got pregnant with twins and had them less than a year later. We both have people ask us if we planned it?!?!? Like I said no one in their right mind would think "wouldn't it be fun to be pregnant for 5 years straight!" :rotfl2:

Too funny - I didn't realize they were all stairsteps! DH's older brothers are barely 13 mos. apart, and my in-laws are still ribbed about how they just "couldn't wait" to continue adding to their family. Needless to say, there's a 5-year difference between the middle brother and my DH (the youngest)!

Good Morning!!

DS is doing much better since he got his antibiotics! :thumbsup2 He is getting back to his old running around like crazy self!!

Lindsay- glad you had a good experience on Day 1 of Bare M.!! It took me a few days to get the hang of it (and I still like to experiment some days when I have the time). I need to get some new eye colors. I mostly stick with the beiges but that last round of QVC had and AWESOME silver disco ball kind of color that looked awesome. MIght be good on those rare nights that I get to go out with just grownups! ;)

Thanks for the tips on the podcast... I never knew what it was and since my ipod is only a few months old I am still learning all that can be done with it. Will have to check it out!

Have a fun day every one!! I think Channing flys home later today...

Kristin

Glad to hear DS is doing better, Kristin!

Yes, I'm finding it fairly easy to get the hang of. I'm looking forward to getting time over the weekend to "play" a bit more. I am not a morning person, so I need to stick to what I know right now, and my skin is too tired at night to cooperate!

I will probably go to the BE store this weekend, and play around with some eye color. I got the basic eye kit, and while I like the vanilla sugar and the fashionista liner, the peach puff is WAY too peachy and light for me. I need a darker eye!

I live less than an hour away from WDW and listening makes me wish I lived in Orlando and worked for the DIS!

Lucky you! Do you get to the World often?

I would love to go to the 5/4 live taping, but don't know if my mom would go for it. If DH were with me on this trip, he'd go in a heartbeat. He doesn't listen to all the different podcasts like I do, but he does like the DIS Unplugged - he likes a good Pete rant!

HI!!!!!!!

I am in the airport in orlando waiting to get on a plane and head home.....our flight is delayed so far by 20 minutes. Getting here was awful. We were delayed in Chicago 3.5 hrs....had a Hellish limo ride - TWO and a HALF HOURS....I think the guy made the wrong turn and thought we were going to Ohare...even though we discussed Midway. OMG>...we were sweating it out thinking we'd miss our flight. Then we get there, sit down at the gate and they start announcing delays. ugh....DH almost didn't get out at all last friday he just beat that snowstorm.

We had a FABULOUS time and I didn't post because I really wanted to relax and stay family. We slept on the beach during down time and Jojo played and swam and I have been fighting a bug the whole trip so been tired and sleeping a lot. The crowds were HIDEOUS>>>>I have NEVER seen crowds like these ever. We didn't do much of anything and due to feeling icky we weren't in the parks much.

The GF was sooooo wonderful and the CMs and everybody there.....LOVE EM.

I have a lot to post - tons of pics and great fun on Easter. I have so much to catch up on it looks like!!! I have to go to Lombard (an hour away) and pick up DS tomorrow and then out to Hampshire (1.5 hrs total) and get my dog. Coming home kind of rots, but I am looking forward to my own bed, haha.....The weather is so nice here and I am totally torked about IL weather still being nasty. I have a bad cold and don't want to leave this FL sunshine.

I am going to try and read what I missed!! I missed you guys!!!!! Hope everybody is doing well and things have been good. I am looking forward to getting back to the WW. !!!!

Talk to ya soon -
Channing

Welcome back Channing...welcome back to the rotten weather...snow tonight??? ridiculous!!! :scared1:

Gals, I need to get back on WW..fell off the wagon today (had a hot dog and fries on the way to school tonight) :headache: I hate when I do that to myself!!!

Yep, we have the seasonal passes. We hate the heat and the crowds that come in the summer so not being able to go for those 2 months is not a big deal but the rest of the year we go 2-3 times a month. Of course we don't go all day since our kids tend to fall apart after a while so we love going in the evenings or opening to afternoon.

Good Morning girls

Hi, Channing! Sorry that there were some bumps in the road, and I hope you get to feeling better soon! I'm glad to hear your DH made it out last Friday - my DH was flying out of Chicago as well that day, and he barely made it out, too. I thought your DH might have been traveling as well, so glad to hear he fared similarly! Can't wait to hear about your trip! Did you get a dumpster view at the Swan? ;)

Welcome back Channing...welcome back to the rotten weather...snow tonight??? ridiculous!!! :scared1:

Lots of :wizard: :wizard: for getting back on the WW wagon today!

I'm not Kelly, but a lot of times, discounts can be had at all of the resorts; they just advertise a few of the "resort types." I saw a few threads from earlier this morning where people were getting quotes for deluxe resorts using this code, so you could definitely call and see if there's availability for the GF! Let us know how you fare! :wizard:

Okay, Bare M users....have a couple questions:

1. Does anyone have difficulty in getting their face truly, squeaky clean after wearing this stuff? I have used Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for YEARS and it has always taken off my makeup with no issues. I don't feel like the Bare M is coming off quite as easily (guess it's the price for having it stay so long throughout the day). Any thoughts? Has anyone tried Bare M's new facial cleanser - does that work well?

2. The last 2 days, my makeup hasn't looked quite as good as the 1st day. Not sure what I did differently between the 1st and 2nd day. :confused3 Today, I tried putting a bit of mineral veil on before the foundation (doing that MV sandwich you guys talked about), but that hasn't seemed to make much of a difference. I feel like the first day my skin had a clear, dewy look to it, and the last couple of days it's been more matte and powder-y. Any ideas?

Hi all!

Welcome Back Channing!!!

Thanks for the code Kelly! I would love a quickie trip, but DH isn't going for it!!

Lindsay- I use the new Bare M. cleanser and really like it. I never noticed that the Cetaphil wasn't take it all off (but I always used separate eye makeup remover- that stuff is stubborn!!). As for matte, you may be putting more on now than you were. The mineral veil sandwich may be contributing to that as well. I only do that in the summer when it is humid. Also, I clean my brushes regularly because the makeup just sits in there, it never all goes on your face. I clean my brushes about once per week (and I try not use the same brush for the different kinds of makeup)

No one need feel guilty about falling off the WW wagon!! We just had a holiday and it is always tougher then. Just jump back on as soon as you can and all will be well!! :thumbsup2

Have a great day!
Kristin

Hi!! Oh geeze...my head is so stuffy. I could deal with it in FL but back here in IL where it's so UGLY and snowing it feels like I just want to crawl back into bed.

Well!! We had a wonderful time. There is so much to tell...I am sure when I look back at my pics it will remind me of stuff.

I read a bit yesterday in MCO and read somebody heard somebody:rotfl: said crowds weren't bad. OMG....let me tell you....there were zigzag queues for the People Mover down below and above.:rotfl: There were 45 min Small World waits.....150 min Test Track....my DH and daughters fast passed it. I wound up calling his cell saying WHERE ARE YOU? It took 40 minutes in the FP line.:scared1: Yesterday they had to pull 3 monorails off line because they were just so overloaded and stressing them and they broke down. We were on the third. Had to hoof it back to the GF from the TTC. Fun - especially when we went to MK for a bit of fun and it was so crowded we rode Snow White and tried to leave via the Frontier land station (we tried to go on Pirates but it was 45 min wait - had been 90 earlier) so we said forget it and tried to take the train to the MS station......the train line was down the stairs and farther so we turned around and literally fought our way thru the oncoming crowd to LEAVE!!! Then we get on a monorail (big mistake) and it took 40 minutes to get to the TTC.....there they did more "maintenance" and 15 minutes later finally said we all needed to exit the train....our door wouldn't open so we had to climb over seats to get out.:rotfl: :rotfl: THEN they said to go down the ramp to the END OF THE LINE!!! WHat??!?! We were already ON a monorail and they wanted us to get to teh end and wait for more to come.....we were like screw that and walked to the GF - got pretty pics though.....we were rushed to get lunch at Gaspies and visit w/GF friends before we got limo pick up. Good thing we didn't wait too close to limo time to leave MK. Lesson learned - take the boat.:thumbsup2

Then (it was a weird day yesterday) our flight was delayed due to maintenanace issues.....we finally get on to fly home and had to pull back to the gate for more maintenance issues....hahaa....that didn't make me feel too good. Felt like hopping off and calling to recheck into the GF. We got home at midnight last night. Poor DH had 4 meetings and had to go in to work today. I couldn't have done it. Still in pjs here.:rotfl:

The first day the DDs and I went to MK and had a nice time....weather in the low 80s and gorgeous. Crowded but we handled it. The next day Epcot and had the princess bfast in Norway. It was wonderful. Our FL buddie joined us and I had to add a person and talked to the CM at the podium....He was French and I thought Uh oh. :rotfl: (totally not PC but I have this fear of rude French people:rotfl: ) anyway - he turned out to be the nicest man. He added our friend and we actually got called in but she wasn't there yet, so he was very gracious about the whole thing. The NICEST, KINDEST thing was that you enter and take a pic w/Belle.....well Lucy was self conscious about her white cane so she didn't. Well, when he delivered the pics to our table he asked me for a minute of my time (in a super nice way) and pulled me aside and felt so bad taht she didn't have her pic taken w/Belle he insisted she do it and he would give me the pic ffree. I told him no, it's fine and explained and he just was sooo nice and kind I cna't express it. Well, later during bfast a nice cm came and said the manager insisted and wanted her to be able to take her pic w/Belle and they worked it all out and I cam ehome w/two gorgous pic sets from that Norway bfast. It just made my week because it was so sincere. My girls were thinking maybe he has somebody in his family that's blind or something the way he was so kind about it and so touched.

We had a blast at Epcot and took tons of stupid pics. This is a wacky story, but we have this crazy Spanish speaking baby doll that travels to WDW with us. CRO always - I mean for YEARS - had my Josie as JOSE - on our family history. Each time I called I had to insist and change it to JOSIE a girl - not JOSE a boy. haha.....they'd get testy w/me, too!!! Funny. Once they had Josie listed as Josie, Josephine, Jojo, JO and of course Jose. We had like 9 people in our "family" so they wouldn't let me book my standard deluxe room haha until that wass fixed....so I thought it was fixed. Nope they left Jose as part of our family unit. so my crazy CM friend bought us Jose the doll to bring with. We pose him and take stupid obnoxious pics around the parks w/him and the girls and I get a kick out of it. DH and DS not so much.:rotfl: :rotfl: although sometimes they surprise. So we spnt the afternoon doing WS and taking silly pics and having fun.

Friday we went back to MK....crowded but fun still. Then we swam and waited for DH. He was late. Kind of killed the evening, but then we headed over to B & C for that Kitchen Sink. They told us it was a 90 minute wait!!! haha....lots of people got told the same thing but left. We stuck it out and it wasnt more than a 20 min wait. I have good pics of this ordeal. I really id want the No Way Jose. I LOVE peanut butter - but the girls said we keep promising to have the KS and they're right we do and never do it, so I caved and dug around in that mess for the peanut butter.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Sat we checked into the GF than went to MGM. PACKED. We did the annimation thing - which oddly enough we never have - and it was fun. Then ate at Brown Derby - LOVE that place. Used the GAC to get on Star Tours and that was about it all afternoon! It was unreal with the crowds.

Sunday -Easter - it was such fun. We got our butts up and out early and headed to the courtyard pool area (after the girls had their own hunt in our room and did our silly Easter things) The courtyard was decorated w/balloons and eggs and they had coffee and muffins out - it was really pretty. Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy were there in their Easter best for pics. Later Alice and Mad Hatter. They had egg hunts and it was lots of fun and the kids were glad (for the first time ever) to be at WDW for a holiday. Then we went ot Epcot for that special expensive;) Easter brunch. It was nice and impressive but I wouldn't do it again. The place was huge and they had too many diff stations set up to get your food. It was inconvenient. we were table 465 and there were more than that. Just huge and overwhelming. We aren't big bfast eaters but wanted something special so this was it. Then the girls did the Alie party at the Epcot Odyessee (I know I cracked that word - I tried many dif ways and it all looks wrong haha) and Lucy was too old she decided but did it anyway & Jojo didn't want to do it but enjoyed it. That afternoon at the GF they had pool games and crafts til about 3:30 but we missed taht stuff.....It was a fun day though.

We didn't stick around much at all due to crwods. I feel so unfulfilled,:rotfl: Monday - Wed crowds were even more hideous than the week prior to Easter. We didn't do a whole lot.....not even SMall world!! THAT is so not worth waiting in a line and usually a walk on....not during this trip. I have not ever even during Xmas seen the parks that jammed. It was uncomfortable. I feel the need to go back but not during a peak season....hoping to take the kids out of school and leave DS at home again next trip. These were the worst biggest crowds ever but have to say the guests were good and nice for the most part and the CMs were super. Very different from the Thanksgiving/Chistmas holiday crowd. Not sure why but those Tgiving/XMas people are the worst, year after year.

I have to meet my friend and get DS....gotta run! I will post more later and I am leaving out details I know....although it's wordy enough already.

Oh just remembered - I saw maybe 5 (and that's probably pushing it) Dream Team people all week. Where they hide I have no clue. I must be totally unlucky?? Or Disney is skimpy w/their prizes more like it.

I asked about the lobby floor in the GF. No date set yet at all. Rumors rumors......when it is done, though, it will be in sections and not a huge ordeal or inconvenience. It's ready to go so it should be quick and not too bad for guests.

Also about the cabanas.......right now they are still 2 and 2. Nothing planned re turning them all into rentals at this time.

Talk to ya later!!!:)

I need to have DH help/show me how to use the new camera software and post the pics....OMG...I have like 1500 and they are awesome.

Channing :)

OK, I am such a dork....I was putting on my Bminerals and thinking about things......

The BIGGEST disappointment this trip was Ohana. It stunk. The menu changed and I think they are totally cheaping out on the meats. They were fatty and icky. They use cloth napkins and twice I had to use my cocktail napkin to put inedible gross meat parts into....funny becasue across the table, Jojo was having the same issue and then Lucy on my right. It was nasty and a bummer as we always eat there every trip - sometimes twice. We all agreed not to book it next trip. Yuck is the word for it. We didn't get bread at the start of the meal 0- didn't know we were supposed to until we saw others around us - then the noodles (no potatoes anymore) were smooshy and overcooked and had pineapple and peanuts crushed up in them. I hated them and usually lke that type of thing. They were like baby food though. The dessert is still the yummy banana foster bread pudding, but the sauce is changed....no banana pieces in it - it's either pureed (more babyfood) or they cheaped out and use some fake banana syrup or something...its thick opaque smooth goo. I couldn't eat much - just took a bite (we were not hungry to begin with - good thing- and really didn't eat much of anything) but I love that dessert - it was a disappointment....I also asked could we box it and take it to go - I knew as soon as I left that place I'd get room for it, haha....I was told no boxes....ugh. bummer. We paid for it so I don't get that deal. We didn't even have seconds of aNYTHNIGN...there were left overs on our table....well no boxes right? As we left we saw a take out box of something go by us.

Jojo and LUcy both made dolls and they are cute and we had a nice chat with the sweet German girls that made them for them. They also did the pearls and Jojo got twins! She made me earrings. She ALWAYS gets a jumbo pearl....this time when I saw the pearl uncovered I kind of thought...hmmmm that's not her "standard" ...then they uncover the twin!!! She is the luckiest kid. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Another fun thing - we wound up riding in front of the monorail 4 times this trip!!! Crazy. We have't done that in several trips but somehow got lucky many times this time around.

The girls made out with the pins. NICE CMs. They told their story a couple times about the stolen pins and had some special perks given. Also, one morning we entered MK and they spotted a manager wearing pins....they asked to trade, got some keepers and he wrote them out special fast passes which was AWESOME considering that was the only way that they got on BTM and SM. He wrote them each for 3 riders and we had fun. Really nice CMs this time.

We did some things we havn't done much....rode the Liberty Belle,:rotfl: I got some nice pics. Saw the afternoon parade.....had these foreign people that COULD NOT obey the CMs order to stand behind the curb. They kept edging forward, she'd come tell them move back, they'd go forward, she had to keep doing this and even physically push them back.:rotfl: :rotfl: It was amusing byut they kept getting in the way of my great parade pics!!!!!

We saw lots of Noobies on this trip....could tell from their extra happiness at seeing all teh cool sights/characters etc. I just felt bad for them with the crowds. Saw people in the middle of mobs looking at maps....if youdidn't know where you wanted to go, you couldn't even find the pathway. Staying at the GF was perfect becasue we could go relax and hang there. The Swan.....well, wehn I checked in it was midnightish because our plane was so late. I called from the limo to make sure we'd have a room! They only had 5 left when we arrived so it wasn't the best at all. No dumpster, but not awful. We looked over the canal to MGM from the 9th floor. No flat screen TV either as I was told ALL rooms were getting. Also no IPOD docking station....I called and they were like "duh...." I guess the midnight staff is clueless. Never found out why the room wasn't totally updated. Housekeeping there sucked....that's the word for it. NEVER left new toiletries so I appreciated and used the great GF ones Praline mailed me.:rotfl: We requested turndown at check in and then twice after - didn't happen. Also spoke w/the front desk on our last night - geuss what?!?! We got turndown but one chocolate.:rotfl: :rotfl: Guess they were feeling put out that they had to do it. Whatever. The price was right on target with the service. (free:rotfl: ) I used SPG points but those stupid nights cost 10,000 points each so really $10,000/nt.:rotfl: Crazy. They are a bit lame there, but the last time I spoke with a front desk person she was telling me they have 5 or 6 conferences yada yada and that's why service isn't up to par....blah blah....they knew they were having these confrerences get it together. BUT a manager heard my issues and gave us $50 on the room card. The girls bought stuff in the store. Fine. No biggie it was our last day.

We had some great fun & a few magical moments but I need to see my pics to remember!!!! Stuff just comes to me. I know when I'm driving around today it will hit me.

Talk to ya later!!!! Sorry so long - ......:rolleyes1

Channing :)

Channing that was truly a lovely story about your daughter with Belle....thats the kind of magic :wizard: I love about Disney. Its still there, sometimes its hidden!!!
Yikes about those crowds....always heard spring break and christmas are BAD! Our school district is on spring break next week...rates are lower since Easter was so early, but we are going out to LasVegas to visit in-laws. Wish it was Disney, not hepped up about LV!:upsidedow

just sharing with my friends !

And we do appreciate it!!

I just sent DH a price quote for a week after Mother's Day, hoping that today's snow would change his mind, but instead, he told me if I was bored I should count snowflakes and not price pacakges on Disney's website!! He is such a grouch!!!!!!!!

Also about the cabanas.......right now they are still 2 and 2. Nothing planned re turning them all into rentals at this time.

Thanks so much!!! Well, I have my calendar marked in April with my 90 day, I'd better call nice and early!!!

Can't wait to see pics!!! I wish I knew how to do that!!:goodvibes

Hello, everyone!!! Just got back from San Antonio today. 3 adults and 6 kids = a bit of disaster but so much FUN! We had a great time. I ate too much Mexican food though and definitely must get back to WW starting Monday. DD goes back to school then and it will be easier to get back on the wagon!

Channing, can't wait to see your pics!!!

Have a great day!!!
