Just a quickie because I am starving!!

Praline, the dresses are super cute & so is Savannah.:goodvibes That is so Jojo with the lips the funky pink shade, ahaha....maybe I should get Jojo to teach me how to use my makeup.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh such a sick story. How disgusting & sad. I know what you mean....there are so many people that would make loving parents....how can people be so awful....

Kelly!! Can't wait to see what you have to post!!

Off to eat bfast.

Have a great day - I'll talk to ya later I'm sure. It's another day to try again with my Bare Ms.....I am going LIGHT today. I just feel like once I put that base coverage on, my complexion is so bleh without some extra blush, sun, radiance...whatever. I look like a corpse without.

PS...Praline, there is somebody on teh GF Thread asking about YOU doing the AK Safari?? Huh?? Did I miss that in your trippie?:rotfl:

Channing :goodvibes

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

That story is too much for me to even comment on...:sad2:

I use the bisque to conceal- I think it covers better, but I will dab a little foundation with the concealer brush after I put the foundation etc. on if I have a big 'ol honkin red zit!!

Channing- if you want try a little sunkissed OR a little warmth today. (and just a sprinkle and make sure it really gets worked into that brush. When applying use the lightest had possible- that stuff is dark!!).

To whomever commented about Bare M looking better after 10 minutes, ITA!! Something about the warmth of your face or something :confused3

I am off to scan the internet for beer bread recipes- we are having the whole clan over for St Pat's next Saturday and I have to have beer bread as an appetizer. Usually I buy a box kit from PC or Tastefully Simple, but I completely forgot last week when I made that PC order...

Take Care!
Kristin

That story is aweful!!!!

Here in Dayton, OH the weather is so bad, blizzard warnings, that UPS didn't deliver my Bare M yesterday.:scared: ... I have been waiting for that starter kit, but I will just have to wait a little bit longer....

Kelly, I am glad you made it safe and sound. NH is going to get pummled with rain....

Praline, those dresses are so cute:cool1:

Christine

Kristin, did you look at Trader Joes?? They carry neat stuff like that.....maybe?
Thanks for the more advice!!:goodvibes

I think I look good today!!!:cool1: :cool1: I just asked DH and he said he'd marry me. :rotfl: What a guy.:upsidedow

It looks much more natural, but better than natural. I just did the PTime, then the well rested all around my eyes - that takes a long time w/that little concealer brush...then tinted mineral veil mixed with a touch of the featherlight? mineral veil, then a tiny bit of medium base....I used vanilla sugar all over my eyes and the celestine on my lids. It looks natural but ahs a little sparkle. Then for color I used some "lovely" blush mixed with clear radiance and used the super light feather fan brush to apply it. Then more mixed mineral veil to finish. I think it's good. I feel comfortable w/the results. Thanks so much for hanging in there with me, guys!!!:thumbsup2

Christine!!
I hope you get your kit today.:wizard: Sorry about that weather. I am sure glad it missed us. I am SO SICK of winter. I used to like it....I must be getting old.:rotfl:

Andrea - I just bought a ton of the Tulip line, too!!! It's all on my dining room table. It matches Jojo's Keens so I think she will be wearing it to WDW...she has to try it on, but yesterday she gave me the thumbs up on it. I love it!

Have a great day, all!!! I am off to run some errands and then start packing:cool1: :cool1: Whoohoooo!!!! DH got his bonus yesterday and it was the largest one he's ever received. Go figure.:) Now I wish I would have booked the GF for all 8 nts.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Kristin - here's my easy Beer Bread recipe:

3 cups self-rising flour
3 tb. sugar
1 can of beer (I usually do a light beer)

Bake 350 degrees for 45 mins. Baste with butter. Bake for another 15 mins. (If the top is getting too brown, cover loosely with aluminum foil.)

That recipe is the best! In fact, I may need to go make some now!

Brooke - it's nice to see that you made it back! :thumbsup2 So sorry that your internet was out so long - I think that would have sent me over the edge! Love the dresses, and that story is so incredibly sad and horrifying re: that baby girl. There's that saying that you need a license to hunt, fish, and drive a car, but anyone can become a parent. :sad2:

Channing - congrats on getting a Bare M routine that you like! That definitely sounds encouraging! Congrats to DH on a great bonus! :thumbsup2

Kelly - I hope you got some rest last night and are having a great time. Can't wait to see your pics. I would have guessed you might be blonde, too - must be the Alice in your siggie. ;)

Christine - sorry to hear about your bad weather in Ohio. I have a friend on another thread in the Cincinnati area, and it sounds REALLY bad there. Here in Texas we've had snow twice in one week, which is unheard of. :wizard: :wizard: that it ends for you guys soon.

Kristin - hope the prep work for your St. Paddy's Day celebration continues to go well!

My parents are coming to visit next weekend, and I think I'm going to tell my mom we're going to the Bare M store for makeovers. I use Bobbi Brown, but am open to a change (it's all expensive, and if this stuff looks more natural...:rolleyes1 ). Maybe next weekend I will understand half of what you guys are talking about.

Have a great Saturday everyone!

praline3001, that story is horrible!! How on earth can people do that.

Like I said... it totally did me in :sad1:
Here is a link to the story on our local news... its the update to the "drama" of it.
http://www.wdsu.com/news/15527608/detail.html

Praline,
the dresses for your DD are adorable!
thanks! I thought they were adorable... thinking of having another one made like the minnie dress but with a cute cinderella fabric I found. The lady is looking to see if she can find the particular fabric I am looking for.... its light and medium blue with large cinderella's on it... its a Daisy Kingdom fabric which is not a cheapy walmart fabric:rotfl:
I want the fabric for the skirt part and then a solid light blue (matching the blue in the print) on the top with her name in dark blue at the bib.... we will see if she can find the fabric I am looking for. I also wanted to add the dresses are really well made. All of the seams are double stitched and the facing is done really well... I love them.

PS...Praline, there is somebody on teh GF Thread asking about YOU doing the AK Safari?? Huh?? Did I miss that in your trippie?
I am still catching up on my emails let alone the other forums:rotfl:
I had a week worth of emails to go through :scared1:
In June I have booked the AK safari ... not the sunset one as that is for AKL club only.... this is the other one for conceirge guest. It starts at 1pm and its a little over and hour long in air conditioning van ... a private tour of the safari :dance3: I don't know a whole lot about it so can't tell you much... savannah loves the safari and it sounded fun and thought I would give it a try. It was $45 a piece and like I said for concierge guest only.

o whomever commented about Bare M looking better after 10 minutes, ITA!! Something about the warmth of your face or something
I have lots of people tell me the same thing... maybe it is the warmth of the face... who knows but I know my make up looks so much better after I wait 10 minutes:confused3

I love making this (though I do the kit thing too) and making it with beer cheese soup. Beer cheese soup is a huge favorite in this house!!!!

Kristin, did you look at Trader Joes??
They have the best sugar free all natural products :yay:
I get many things from there as I am a sugar free guru :bride:

I think I look good today!!! I just asked DH and he said he'd marry me.
WWOOHOOOOOOO It will get better the more you practice.. there is a learning curve I tell you...

I used vanilla sugar all over my eyes and the celestine on my lids.
I just bought the celestine... I am not in love with it on me but it is a cute color.

My parents are coming to visit next weekend, and I think I'm going to tell my mom we're going to the Bare M store for makeovers.
and we convert another one.....:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Thanks for the recipe Lindsay!! I found a similar one but it has more sugar(plus an egg) I may go for that one since we like the sweeter beer bread ala Tastefully Simple...

Channing- you go girl!! I told you it is just about practice and finding your own combinations!!!! (BTW- I hate you for being only 10 days away!! :rotfl: I want a vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

As for Trader Joes, I don't wander down too often, but their guac and homemade salsa :faint: Need I say more??

Take Care!
Kristin

Anyone here play the computer game civilization?

The boys and I play and we love it!
My boys are huge video game fans ... and I like that they learn something from this game while going to war with each other :lmao:
We have been playing a multi player game all day today... taking turns at the computer .... there is nothing better than Nuking your 13 year old son on a lovely Saturday afternoon :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

There are so many learning skills behind this particular game and they don't even realize they are learning!!! Its not a kid game by any means.... my 10 year old has a lot of trouble understanding a lot of the game concepts but he doesnt do half bad.

Anyway... if I am not on much tomorrow its because I am handing my boys their behinds on a silver platter :yay:

Praline, my husband plays it. He used to anyway - he doesn't have much free time though so any free time has has lately has been devoted to watching all the Mythbusters DVDs he got for Xmas. He and Jojo are so into those. I think my son used to play it, too. He is into online team games now....although he lost his internet privileges, so .....not anymore.:rotfl: DH has our computers all hooked up together - OK I am sure there's a name for that, haha....but anyway, so he and Zack sometimes play stuff against eachother, too....I hear them yelling and laughing.

I kind of started packing yesterday but not too into it. I need to get closer to decide about the weather and brining skorts or capris for the girls. Today I need to run errands again. Kind of discovering lots that I still need to buy.

I saw SM posted on the GF thread that too much chit chat is going on again....that other person must have narked or something. I don't get it.:confused3 I thought taht was the best thread ever....tons of into and anytime ANYBODY asked a questino it got answered - so unlike many of the other resort threads....sometimes it was directly GF talk, but it was people vacationing at the GF and had vacation questions........,kind of ticks me off. That poster got kind of snotty -and it seems to be a guy. :rotfl: WTH? He didn't like the princess dress talk..... :rotfl: :rotfl: Move on, then. I know there are some nice guys that post on that thread (have to put that in there...because there are) and they just let us be.

One more question.....on the Bare Ms.....last night about 10 pm I looked at myself and totally thought I had no make up on at all...including eye shadow. All I read is how it stays put etc.....it was gone on me!:rotfl: :rotfl: Just ditched. Not sure when but it was nada.....so....do you guys touch it up during the day or did I not use enough mineral veil?? Is that what "seals" it in??

Praline, are you still sending me the meet the stones?? I should probably buy another eye shadow brush and maybe a liner brush...is that hard to use?

THANKS!!!!!!

Kelly must be having too much fun to post....hope so!

Well have a great day, all. I hate that we had to FF our clocks!!!! Bummer!! Why can't they do it on a Wednesday or something?

Channing :)

I don't know where that random comment came from either?? :confused3 It's like someone has it in for that thread or something...

Channing, I find the eyeliner looks faded if I put it on dry, so I normally put it on wet. Otherwise, it doesn't disappear on me :confused3 Keep playing...

hi ladies just got back after a rounds of meetings and some lunch.
Last night was best!! I dont have time to write about it all right now as I am getting cleaned up to go and see my CM friends over at the GF. i will post later when I get back.

I saw the issue with the other thread. I am not sure why we keep having an issue I sent Safetymom a PM when I started this chat thread and i have posted reminders about the questions on the other thread and where to find the answers.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I miss my husband and sons something awful. I am looking forward to seeing them tomorrow.

Hi all. I came over here cuz I am scared to post on that other GF thread.:scared1: I don't know if that was directed at me, I just mentioned the weather. YIKES!

Anyway, you guys have answered so many of my questions - Thank you so much!

I just wanted to ask another question. Has anyone used the fitness center at the GF? How is it? Is it big/small?

Thanks again.

Glad you're having fun - can't wait to hear all about it!

Not sure what the deal is about the other thread either, except that you can't please everyone.:sad2: You've done all that you can to make it a great thread so don't sweat it!:)

Kelly...aw...I forgot you probably haven't been away from them all that much. I would LOVE a getaway without my baggage. :rotfl:

Have fun at the GF!! Say HI to them for me....can't wait to get there.

Ya, that snarkyish poster had under 10 posts....seems to just want to rag on us. Not sure what is up with that. :confused3 The GF thread kicks tail IMO. It's fun and informative.

Have a great day!:goodvibes I can't get out of my house.....Lucy has to make a Greek doll for school and the whole thing has become ugly. The mess, the arguing, the asking for help and then spazzing....ugh.....:headache:

PS...Golphin Goofy! don't be afraid.....that is just a nasty poster....not sure where he came from...he only has 7 posts. If he wants GF info he now knows where to find it. I don't have a clue about the fitness center. Sorry. Somebody will though. Maybe we need to send Kelly over there, haha.....

Happy Sunday all!

Well, that was a fun way to start off my DIS'ing day - what was up with that post on the GF FAQ? I'm thinking anyone with basic reading comprehension skills would be scratching their head at that one. I'm thinking it's just a troll with his big 7 posts....

Kelly - glad you're having a great time! Can't wait to hear about what you guys did last night.

Channing - good luck with the doll! :scared: Did you do the Bare M routine today?

Praline - have fun kicking some offspring butt today. ;)

Golfing Goofy - definitely don't be worried about posting on the GF thread (or this one, for that matter). We've got your back. :thumbsup2

I haven't been to the fitness center, so I can't comment. I do believe it's in the same building as the spa, but that's about all I know. I'd post your question on the GF FAQ, and see if someone else might have an answer for you.

I feel so "off" today from the time change. I'm sure some of it is purely in my head, but I hate losing an hour - it always takes me a while to adjust.

My DH went to the fitness center almost every day last trip. It is just past the beach pool heading towards the wedding chapel. The GF shares it with Poly. There are 5 or so treadmills, some stairmasters, cycles, Nautlis type stuff, some free weights etc. They also provide towels and there is a water cooler. There are a couple of TV's (playing real stuff- not the Disney planning channel with Stacey ;) ). He says it is small but nice and only moderately crowded (he went around 7am). He really liked it and I am sure will use it again a lot this trip!

HTH!

Thanks so much. The info is for my DH too. Goodness, after a whole day of walking, waking up and working out would kill me.:faint: But, whatever makes him happy.

He will be very happy to hear about the tv situation (hahahaha) too.
