PS... Channing its now 2:38 and the kids will be home soon... its not looking like that box is making it... its lazy and doesn't want to walk to the post office:lmao: I have been without internet so trying to catch up...

Pampered Chef
My aunt sells this and every Christmas I get something from them! :goodvibes

DS17 is a pain in the butt and making us miserable here. My escape can't come soon enough.
Chan~ I feel for you. My 13 year old must be starting early because there are days when he rolls his eyes and I have this very naughty thought about exactly I am going to do to those eyes if they roll at me one more time :rotfl:
I swear he thinks I am dumb as dirt.... he was tested and has an IQ of 163 so he is considered a genius EXCEPT he uses his smarts for evil:rolleyes1
He knows he has a higher IQ than me and daddy and reminds us how much smarter he is and we dont know nutin :rotfl: You want another DS channing? Maybe I could sell him on ebay REALLY good deal right here folks~ 13 year old moody boy with attitude!!!!

I am a little surprised that WDW doesn't reward frequent guests more
Kristin~ Why would they? They already have you hooked :rotfl: they are trying to hook the new fish!

You mean you don't ride horses to work in Texas
Its funny.... my mom REALLY DOES ride her horse to the corner store :rotfl: :rotfl: She will take a nice long trail ride up to the store ...where they have a horse tie off, go get her a few things and back home she goes :rotfl:
Of course where she lives everyone has horses and does this, especially on pretty days! Though I must say even though I am cajun~ I don't eat roadkill... I think Andrea does though

THAT IS IT with the special order Ebay stuff for me
Channing~ try the ladies I told you about. I have nothing but good luck with them. they are a bit more pricey but you get what you pay for. I have had nothing but great luck on serveral things I have ordered from peanutburys.

Kristen! I am glad you're on here. I got part of my QVC order!!! YAY! I watched the DVD and it's a breeze. The only thing is I feel like the powder gets into the teeny lines on my face and accents them.....I am seeing lines I didn't even know I had. What am I doing wrong?!?!!? The medium is a great match...I got the kit w/DVD, my hyacinth eye shadow, and the mineral veil kits w/different shades of that....I am still waiting for my other items. Hope tomorrow...I have to go see what I did order. I need more brushes for sure - like the concealer brush and eyeshadow brush and then the Kabuki brush...too bad that doesn't come in the kit since they use it w/the basic set. Help on the face lines, though! It was really bad and then I washed it off and started fresh with fresh moisturizer but I still see lines that I didn't know wre there

Channing TOTALLY buy the Prime time!!!!!!!!!! This stops any of that from happening! I think the prime time is the best stuff in the world :goodvibes
I told you it wasn't near as hard as we were making it sound! :rotfl:
Its like crayons for big girls isnt it?!

Do you use their moisturizer?? Do you use that Prime Time?? Would something like that help it go on smoother???
You got it! As to the matte... you may be putting it on too heavy. That is the #1 mistake when first learning BM... its not make up like your used to... less is better! You can layer it ... put a little on and then a little more... instead of a lot on at once. Also I have noticed and many of my friends have noticed that for some unknown reason BM look better after waiting 10 minutes.... it doesn't look as good right at first but after 10 minutes it looks fab! Anyone else notice this?

I think Brooke uses the Prime Time... it is on my list of things to get next time I go. I think the ladies look "dewey" from the "radiances" they also brush on (ie bare radiance etc). I am more matte, especially after Mineral Veil, but that is how I prefer it. I don't notice the pores any more. I put on a couple of thin layers of the foundation (1 doesn't do it for me) and that second one seems to help with that. Putting Mineral Veil on first then foundation then mineral veil at the very end might help with that too. (Brooke, please get your internet back and chime in here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I'm here I'm here!!! slowly catching up~ page 26 now :rotfl:
YES ::jumping up and down screaming at monitor:::: prime time it is!!!!!
I really think the problem Channing is having is she is using it too heavy. When I first started I did this and got the same results she is talking about. There is a learning curve to BM as its not make up... start with just a teeny tiny amount and then build.... if you use too much you will cake the cake matte look

I don't have the kabuki
I have this but I dont use it. It makes the foundation go on thicker... I like the regular fondation brush better.
I also love the concealer brush :yay: those are my 2 favs

Channing, did you get warmth? Or faux tan or glee ...any of the all over face colors? I am too pale for most of them but you have a darker skin than me.... the warm radiance would look fab on you I bet!!! it would bring sparkle to you! Also, look into the tinted mineral veil. The regular mineral veil may be a tad too light for you...even though its transparent.... you might do better with the tinted mineral veil.... I use the tinted mineral veil rather than the regular as it give more color to my vampire white skin :rotfl:

I tried this product with Flawless Face brush and looked glittery.
I always have that problem with clear radiance... maybe I should try a different brush?

Maybe you need to use more foundation
In my experience my pores show up more when I put too much foundation on at once.

Keep us updated on your BM progress!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :worship:

Me too. It's off center though. Can you believe it? I took it out of the box and I could SEE it is off. I measured and it's almost 1/2 inch off the center. Bummer. It is cute though. Maybe it's not so noticable on. I over resized my pics so that is why they turned out so dark and grainy. I just realized that so the next batch are better.
The shirt is adorable ...just tell Jojo she needs to grow a set of ...well you know whats... :rotfl: ;) that way the minnie won't be off center :rotfl:

Poor Praline.....where is she? I would be climbing the walls if my internet service was out this long! I freak out after a minute because I just don't know if it wll come back on.
I'm here I'm here!!!!! Page 27 at least :rotfl:
It was rough but now with the new modem... the pages are loading faster... it must have been having trouble for a while and I just didn't notice:confused:

Hi!! OK got my hair colored....now I am READY for vacation. Does anybody else just kind of have a secret panic attack while you're neck is bent backwards and your head is in that shampoo sink??? OMG>...I thought I was going to jump up screaming today....my neck went numb and I started to feel really agitated....I have a pinched nerve in my shoulder and my arm started tingling....it was ugly. I didn't think my neck could support my head when I sat up.
Your better than me! Every time I try to dye my own hair it comes out nasty:rotfl: I stink at it!!!! I get foils put in my hair every 3-4 months and its pricey but better than looking like Bozo ..please noooo clown pics:rotfl:
My hair pulls lots and lots of red so if I am not super careful I look like a nasty red head... not a cute redhead :rotfl:

I have hazel eyes and almost bought "Meet the Plums" today because really I wear violets and grays and it makes the green really GREEN in my eyes....not sure if that kit is glimmery or not.
I like the meet the plums but my fav (I have green/hazel eyes) really is the meet the stones... I have an extra set and put it in your box~ which still has not walked itself to the post office yet:rolleyes1 so dont buy the meet the stones set :rotfl: I never thought I would like it but I belong to the eyeshadow club and they sent it to me sooo i tried it... i LOVE it... makes my eyes light and smokey and the green really stands out!

As long as they don't kick off the Davids or Brooke!
My name is Brook and DH is David :rotfl: :rotfl: I hope they dont get kicked off either :rotfl: :rotfl:

Brook if you come back before I go
have fun yacking away!!

Talk to you when I get back
You hunted me down last night via phone :rotfl: :rotfl:
Remember to bring an extra set of luggage for all the h20 stuff :rotfl: :rotfl:
Have fun!

Good luck at registration Kristin!!!!! Its sad to watch your baby grow up!

A lot of children here in the private school system start going to an all-day program at 3! And it's not what you would think of as daycare for working parents, it's really like school and actually MOST of the moms do not work and spend their kids all day. Not passing judgement, just relaying what the norm is where I am.
Yup it is! People thought I was nuts as I sent Savannah to prek for half a day 3 days a week. I don't work and knew she needed the school practice but thought she was way too young for all day everyday! She is in the BEKKA program and is the top student in her class so I guess I didn't mess up:rotfl:
She is 6 and in the 1st grade. She is one of the younger ones in her class as she is a summer baby but is still doing wonderful. It helps that all 3 of mine go to private school and the same school at that. She has her big brothers watching out for her :goodvibes
Kristin, I feel like I have too much stuff, too... What do you use on a daily basis? Today I used the prime time, mineral veil, well rested - this took me quite a while...I did all around eyes &a few places that needed concealing, base, warmth, blush, sun kissed, eye stuff, mineral veil, then did my mascara & lips....I just felt overwhelmed with products. Is there a short cut? I think I used them in the order I typed out, too....maybe there is a better way.... What brush do you use for the Well Rested?? I used the concealer brush, but maybe that's too small because it took a lot of time.

I am not Kristin but I have found shortcuts for day regular wear!
I will use the foundation with the cover up brush (skipping bisque) to touch up a few spots... then go over my whole face with the foundation using perfect brush thingy..forget the name... then I use the tinted mineral veil so i dont need the warmth, glee or radiance.... also for everyday natural wear I use the foundation for my eyes instead of a concealer just brushing the foundation EVERYWHERE lightly and quickly.... then I use the natural color shadows and slap some mascara on with a little lip gloss... done in under 5 minutes.
Of course if I am actually going somewhere I take my time and do all the steps.....

I just spent $100 at Gymboree on that Tulip line. Got a top, denim skort, leggings, knee socks, reg. socks, swimsuit, dress, spring weight peacoat for Hannah. I was very proud of myself that I spent $100.42, EXACTLY enough to get my $50 in Gymbucks. The woman behind the counter looked at me like "How did you do that?" I want my discount, but I don't want to give them a penny more than a need to for it!
I loved the tulip line!!!! I got Savannah a couple of things from it.
I am still holding out hoping the new line coming out will be cute and I am going to rack up before the gymbucks expire :rotfl:

OKAY I am all caught up so post away!!!!

Praline!!!! WELCOME BACK!!!!!! WE MISSED YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is just awesome about the skechers!!! Yep they must have been having some serious issues with their website!!! I wonder how many of these double orders went out! I should have gone back and gone ahead to try and order again!!!! WOuldn't you know it, Jojo lost ONE Birkenstock lavendar Boston clog yesterday! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: So it is possible. YOu have extras now.:rotfl: :rotfl:

THANKS for the Bare M stuff! :goodvibes

Those dresses sound adorable - can't wait to see them.

Talk to ya later!!!!! Glad you're back.:goodvibes

I guess they were having issues but no complaints from me :rotfl:
I just put the extra shoes on the top of a closet... I figured my kids' shoes get beat up pretty FAST so in 3 months time I will be able to turn the new shoes they are wearing NOW into play shoes and then pull the ones from the top of the closet for nice shoes :rotfl:

Hi, Praline....I had to post (sorry;) )....I have some BMinerals questions.....

Today I looked orange.:cutie: (close enough) haha....You will see above how and what I tried out in the order I applied them. Today I did go too heavy because I felt like I wasn't doing enough the other day.....so how much do you put into the lid?? I just put a teensy touch into it.:confused3

I LOVE the Prime Time. :goodvibes It is awesome but smelly at first.:rotfl:

I bought the sunkissed? type radiance yesterday that came with a really light feathered fan brush so I think I should use that to apply some "radiance" to my all over face....I really like a light sheer coverage. I have NEVER worn base makeup before because it seems mask like and gunky - so I don't know exactly how it should even look. I just want sheer but still something to even out my complexion....when I apply a light coat of base it just doens't seem to do that.:confused3 :confused3 I want the simplest easiest way. I have too muich stuff. Over this past week, starting last Friday night with Kristin on QVC I have bought $350 worht of it!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Who's desperate??!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Today I got the clear radiance - it 's kind of pinky, the summer bisque, vanilla something eye shadow, and celestine glimmer shadow. I need to try those out....my face is done for at this point.:rotfl: I washed it but still feel like I am made up. Also, how do you keep it all straight??!?!! I have all these little containers and don't know what's what unless i turn them upside down!!!!:headache:

I thought Kelly was blond, too - and I met her!!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

I am supposed to receive a few more custom Ebay things and I think those will be lovely. I paid a lot for what I did buy so I expected quality, but they are soso....The girls LOVE their skirts and tees so it's fine. They do look nice on. That pirate Minnie outfit cost $80 so it better be gorgeous. That should come middle of next week.

My kennel is an hour away, so DH will have to handle the whole thing.....believe me I am nervous. He's super smart but such a guy. *clueless* I told him my concerns and he got a touch offended....like WHY would I think that about him?? WHY am I worried??:rotfl: Oh man.....Lucy and I just laughed.

I am so glad your modem is back.:thumbsup2 I would be seriously having online withdrawals and be super cranky if I didn't have it.

Channing ~ glad you tried the prime time:cloud9:

For you YOUNGER wipper snappers... remember Channing and I have MATURE (note I DID NOT SAY OLD) skin....
We are closer to the same age and have wrinkles and grey hair brought on by our children .... golly kids age you fast:rotfl:

When doing the whole routine.... not the quickie 2 minute make up job...

Here is what I do:

1. Bare vitamins ... this gives your face a fresh start for the make up... exfoliates it and is great

2. moisturizer (I use the Les Therpaie stuff I posted about before in this thread)

3. Prime time

Let it all sit for 10 minutes while I am using my hair flattener or blow drying my hair... you get the idea... I let it all soak in... but remember to go lightly with all 3 things....

Here is a great test for you to try to see how light you need to go with BM

Take a tissue and wipe some liquid foundation on the tissue then take some BM foundation and swirl it on a different tissue. Turn them both over and you will see the liquid foundation soaks into the tissue whereas the BM foundation does not. BM foundation stays on the surface of your skin... not sinking into your pores. When your new to using BM you tend to cake it on ... just like regular make up, thinking its going to sink in some....

back to my steps hehe

4. I use a very light dusting of tinted mineral veil as this keeps the make up on longer I find. You should NEVER see any powder on your brush once you tap! If you see powder your using too much. Remember you can add more a llittle at a time....
5. I then use the summer bisque around my nose as I have broken caps. I also am prone to redness and use a light dusting where I might be red (rosesca stinks) I don't get break outs but the bisque does cover any redness I might have that day. I use the max coverage concealer brush for this.
6. I then use the foundation brush (kabuki lays the foundation too heavy for me) and swirl it all over my face. I go lightly and will add an extra layer of foundation if I need it.
7. I then use the well rested in the corners of my eyes as I have a blue tint there (shoot I am giving all of my nasty face problems in a public forum here :scared1: ) I also like the well rested as a base to my eyeshadow.
8. I always start with the eyes and work my way down... that way if I make a mistake I can fix it. My current fav is the meet the stones set sooo I will tell you how I wear that...
I use my fluffy eyeshadow brush to cover the whole lid with wearable stone light. I blend blend blend it all in... then with the wearable stone dark I do the smokey effect of right along the crease of the eye and right above the upper lid... making a V shape on my eyelid. I use the countour brush for the dark stone... I then use my fluffy eyeshadow brush to blend the whole thing in...blend blend blend :rotfl:
I then will use my eyeliner brush and dip it in some water... I use the stone dark as an eyeliner .. a very very thin line. I love the eyeliner brush!!!!! I get get the thinnest line ever using it!!!! I have trouble with eye liner as brown makes my eyes look red rimmed and black is too harsh... I am not a goth queen :rotfl: I like the look of the dark grey ... its not offically an eyeliner but thats the GREAT thing about BM... you can do so many different things with it!!!

Back to my steps...what number was I on? 8?

9. I put mascara on. I do not buy the BM mascara... I get the cheapy target kind... I wear contacts and am prone to eye infections so I throw out my mascara every 2-3 months.... still mostly full but it beats not getting an eye infection :rotfl: because of this, I buy cheapy mascara!

10... on to the cheeks... Sometimes I will use the tapered brush and put a tiny tiny amount of warmth ... or true... I like the true but have to be careful or I glitter :rotfl: I cant stand the clear radiance but thats just me.... I like true over the radiance but I have been thinking about trying the warm radiance:confused3 I have to be VERY careful with my cheeks as I am prone to redness in my cheeks. I cant put glee or anything redish at all or they look REALLY RED.

11. I then use the lipstick/liner thingy I just bought recently... its both a lipstick and a liner :yay: its called escentual fig. I line the lips and lightly fill them in.

12. I then use the foundation brush and go over my entire face with the tinted mineral veil. The tint gives me color without the redness of blush or the darkness of warmth... as I am pale skinned and have red (I should have been born in London:lmao: ) I go lightly and add more if I need to...

Once done I add the clear radiance lip gloss to my lips to make them nice and shiney

I might have missed a step in there and I do change it up... I am always getting new shadows in and am thinking of trying the faux tan instead of the tinted mineral viel this summer....

I also wonder about the feather light brush...I might be buying me that to see if the clear radiance goes on better with it.

Is this what your talking about?

ristin, I feel like I have too much stuff, too... WOW warmth ..blush...sun kissed?!?! GiRL you should have looked like an OMPA LOOMPA :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

If you want natural just pick 1 of those... warmth blush OR sun kissed ... not all 3 at once :rotfl: you ainte BOZO the clown :rotfl:

Now once you get BETTER and lots of practice... you CAN do all 3 but EXTREMELY lightly and with techniques that are beyond your comprehension at this point :lmao: Stick to super simple.... pick 1 of those and go with that.

I am very pale and your about 10 shades darker than I am so its hard for me to judge how much for you to use... Do you know how on the DVD she shows the cap of how little warmth to use? I actually use a 1/4 of that and NO MORE... or my cheeks look dirty :rotfl:

I store all of my Bm's in a large tackle box I bought at Walmart. I store them upside down so I can read what I am looking for :rotfl: Tackle box is GREAT as all those little compartments fit the little pots of BM's perfectly!

/
THANKS for all the tips.... I am makeup challenged big time.

Jojo just came home but I also forgot to say THANKS for sending me that stuff and the Meet the Stones sounds perfect. :thumbsup2 If I don't do lavender shades, I LOVE grays....I love wearing grays because it makes my green eyes super green.

I am going to have to really experiment it seems.:goodvibes

I need a few more brushes....I don't have the liner brush (THAT intimidated me!) or the fluffy eye brush...I think I only have one eye brush - Wet/Dry? I think it is. I have the concealer (takes me forever to use) and two of those face brushes I know the one you mean...I have the contoured blush brush and then the feather brush and something else.?? I have so much stuff now.

REally how do you keep track of it all?? I find myself turning the upside down because they all look alike.

Talk to ya later!!!! :goodvibes

Is this what your talking about?

WOW warmth ..blush...sun kissed?!?! GiRL you should have looked like an OMPA LOOMPA :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

totally. that was me. Ick. It wasn't pretty. I just seemed SO pale. I really am fair skinned....If you are going by that pic in my siggie...it was taken at night in a golden room w/amber lights....so that makes me look nice and glowy. I have fair skin that sunburns easily. :rolleyes1

I did one side of my face and left the other naked :rotfl: so I could see the difference. There wasn't one until I caked it on, haha....then it was just ugh.

I did the blush but felt like it was too clowny so tried to kind of ease it in with more color....one thing led to another haha....and there I was ...orange. :headache:

I have the tinted min veil. I tried that the other day. I jsut can't seem to get enough of a nice natural CHANGE on my face without putting too much on and I don't want that.

Talk to ya later! NOw I really have to run:goodvibes

Here is a pic of me with BM on... now I did apply it on the plane so it was a quickie job :rotfl: see I dont look orange at all!:lmao: no oompa loompa look
limo4.jpg

Not that there are many pics out there with me and NO make up:rotfl:
but I found one... of course it was taken just after I climbed to the top of a mayan ruin... who would have thought it would have been that tiring :rotfl: :rotfl: once in a lifetime thing... you betcha as I will never climb to the top again :rotfl: :rotfl: ...anyway... in this pic you can see how red my cheeks are (even in the shade of my floppy hat to keep said sun off my cheeks ....)

165122face_shot.jpg

By no means am I an expert on make up... I fumbled through and most likely could do better if I went to an actual store and someone taught me hands on how to use the stuff :rotfl: I watched a lot of BM shows on utube and her site used to have video clips but i dont think it does anymore... and by trial and error.

Savannah LOVES her new dresses! I took some pics just now with her in them... we ran outside even though its a bit chilly so the lighting would be better....
I really like the Bday dress but am totally in love with the minnie dress!!!!
Notice the gymbo shoes she just HAD TO WEAR cause stripes and plaid matches?!

bdaydress1.jpg

Here is my FAV!
minniedress1.jpg

minniedress2.jpg

I still have 2 more dresses being made. I will post those when they come in too...

Oh boy I just realized SOMEBODY WAS IN HER PLAY MAKEUP while I was on the computer catching up... no her lips aren't normally that color hahahahahaah

Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brooke is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The dresses are adorable!!

I have to run but I will try to jump back on this weekend!

Kristin

People here think you are nuts if you don't send your child to school until she's 4!!! :goodvibes We will see how Hannah does in school. I was a good student. Her dad was not, and she seems more interested in drawing than letting writing at this point! :rotfl:
The salesperson at Gymboree said a new line is coming out Thursday. She mentioned something about plaid ... I just tried all DDs Tulip stuff on and love it all. Now I want to get even more to mix/match.

For Bare M, does anyone use the foundation as a concealer too? I use my concealer brush for my foundation around my eyes, around nose, on blemishes if I have any and take the redness out that way. I am thinking this may help Channing simplify her steps a bit. Then I use the baby buki brush for foundation. Oh, and for clarification, I only do two light layers of foundation. No layers of warmth or any of the radiances. I REALLY like the feather brush with the clear radiance. Y'all should try it. :goodvibes

Yeah well with some of the parents in our area... the kids are better off in school :lmao:
Did you see the news about that little baby that died at Childrens the other day ... I bawled my eyes out :sad1:
It made me so mad because our family has been through the mill with child adoption. My brother and SIL would LOVE to adopt another baby but with the court fees and international fees... they did not adopt in the country because they got screwed really bad doing so a few years back and lost the baby to the birth father who just got out of prison for abusing his daughter
The system really stinks.... but anyway... my bro and SIL would have done anything to have another baby girl like that... ANYTHING ... and have done so for the 2 adopted children they have... It really $(%**^^(^( me off to see someone get a gift such as an innocent little girl and do what they did :sad1:

OK ..getting off my soapbox ....

For quickie everyday jobs thats what I do with my foundation. I guess we should clarify to poor channing the difference between quickie everyday make up and going out make up

I did see that. I cried too. What is wrong with this world?!?

Yeah, normally with my makeup in the morning, I am just swirling on SOMETHING to avoid leaving the house barefaced. So whatever I fumble through the drawer and pull out goes on my face!!! :rotfl: Some days this works better than others but I always do the foundation/concealer steps.

Hey cheeseballs!!
I am at the WL and I am exhausted. Its 1030pm and I am about to go to bed. I have been up since 3am and have not stopped going since.
I have taken some great pics and I will post them tomorrow if I get the chance.

I am a pretty jaded person when it comes to the news but that did me in. I ran to the bathroom because I seriously thought I would be ill. :sad1:
The news never gets me that weepy...

Long story short for those who dont live here...
A babysitter...and mom though she hasnt been charged she is still a suspect in the case as she was there at the time...
well whoever did it... they shoved loads of xanax down this little girls mouth, burned her several times with a curling iron all over her body and when that didn't do it they beat her until every bone in her body was broken :sad1:
if that wasn't enough.. the child lived through all of this and died a few days later at Childrens hospital... the real kick in the gut to this story... if that wasn't enough... this little girl was ONLY 6 WEEKS OLD!!!!
Man did I cry for that poor baby, some people should not be allowed to breed:sad2:

---- on to happier things----
Hey Kelly! Nice to see you made it safe and sound! Say HI TO MICKEY FOR ME :goodvibes

praline3001, that story is horrible!! How on earth can people do that.

Alicnwondrln, I can't wait to see your pictures. I need alittle Disney today. Have a great trip!

Praline,
Absolutely disgusting and heartbreaking story.:sad1:

Kelly,
can't wait to see pics - have fun!:yay:
