Today my Ds10 has a big ceremony to go from being a Weblo to a real boy scout. He gets his arrow of light today
For those who don't know scouts... this is the biggest day for a cub scout

As with any southern important ceremony... there is food and lots of it. I started cooking last night (its pot luck but still...) and will most likely be getting ready for the party today. My boy is soooo excited. I woke up and he already had his uniform on and the ceremony starts at 7pm

I promise one day home will allow me to spend all day on here and then you guys will be in BIG trouble

Oh I just got the tracking info for my sketchers order. With everyone having trouble with their CC, I figured they would email me and tell me my CC didn't go through... but I guess it did and my shoes are on their way... you guys just need to learn to pay your bills

the colors I think blend well with brown eyes are
Faith (its a light green)
Bare skin... this is another fav or mine..especially for summer. It is shiny but really subtle. It gives you that natural beachy summer look.

Peach puff... this goes really well with the vanilla.

True gold is really cool with brown eyes but its a glimmer. I dont foil as I am not that good but If you put it on lightly over the top of your eyeshadow it gives it a light golden hue and brown eyes look fab with gold.

Kristin did you see they are offering the precision concealer brush now? Its just like the big one but really tiny for more exact covereage in those little spots!!!! When did they start selling that?! I think I am going to have to make me an order now

I love that we have converted so many of you to Bare Minerals!! It truly is amazing stuff- my skin has changed so much as a result (less breakouts, I am not as oily etc.)

I use peach puff with my vanilla sugar in the summer when I am tan and lean towards brighter colors. But I use vanilla sugar every day as a base (don't be afraid that it looks orange- it doesn't go on that way!!!) I have a foil kit (in pinks) that I haven't tried yet... Andrea- go to QVC's website- they have a bunch of spring eye kits on there!!

Brooke, I didn't see that brush I do know they sell a concealer that heals as it covers now, but my Ulta was out of it already- next time. I started using the cleanser the other night and so far so good!!

It was so funny last night I told DH that I ordered the BM stuff.....he knew all about it. He's a dork. He must hang out and watch the late night infomercials... He knew EVERYTHING. Including how you apply it, what it's made of, and that is is expensive. What a goofball. Maybe he can teach me how to apply it when it comes. He's a good guy.

What exactly is WELL RESTED??? Is it a concealer or a color shadow?? I am so clueless....does the stuff come w/instructions in each pack so you know where/how to use it?

Praline, that is neat about your son and the Cub Scout ceremony. He seems very proud of it, too. DS didn't do scouting. DDs did brownies to jrs. and then kind of fell away from that. Enjoy your fun day!

I tried my CCs twice - tried two of them for Skechers and it wouldn't let me place my order so I gave up. (Kelly knows....I have a weird history of my CCs failing on me! ) Glad you guys are getting your orders. The weird thing was they KNEW I was on their site checking it out. JCrew and Banana Republic knew I was browsing their websites, too....they emailed me discount offers on my next purchase...I hadn't purchased a thing from them, just was on their website looking around at items....big brother is watching.

ohhh and Kristin... this is the tinted mineral veil. See it is sooo much lighter than the warmth. I use it as I would normally use the regular tinted veil and I dont have to worry about blush on my cheeks or using warmth at all...
It knocks out 2 steps for me it gives a little warmth and color to your face for DAYTIME wear... at night you want more drama but for everyday stuff this tinted mineral veil ROCKS

Prime Time!! That was the stuff I was asking about the other day... adding it to my list for next time...

As for the brush, I have so many I don't care anymore I am good with the max concealer brush!!

Channing, Well Rested is thinner like an eyeshadow but covers like a concealer. When you get your stuff and start using it you will know what I mean. (It is a lot thinner than bisque) I guess thinner is a bad word to describe- finer? . Also, BM rarely comes in one bag fro QVC even though you ordered it all together. Be prepared for 2 or 3 bags... That is hilarious that DH knew about it! It is like my Dad with his "Oh, so you swirl, tap and buff?" comment!

I would have LOVED to have gone!!!!! I still have issues with some of the complexion series stuff... would love to learn how all that goes on just right!!!!

the radiance stuff always looks glittery on me...maybe I just dont put it on right or have the wrong shade?

The glee is way too red for my cheeks but true doesnt look right as a blush. I am proned to redness.. very prone... so glee just makes my cheeks look more red....

I would love to find the right shades for my skin for the complexion stuff!!!!

I do the basics.. and well a bit more than the basics... but to get the full BM face I need a store near me or something like THAT so I can try the different shades of faux tan~ blush and all over face colors.

I thought of getting the complextion kit but not sure...

Brooke, I don't like glee either (and I also have soft focus glee which is no better). I steer clear from pinky blushes since I tend look red too, which is why I go for the browns. If I put on warmth after foundation but before Mineral Veil it softens it dramatically- I also barely put any in the lid. I use my handy buki to do it.

I truly don't notice the glitter on the radiances I only use Bare Radiance (I don't have clear radiance) and I use the soft focus brush to put it on. Again, I put it on sparingly.

Brooke - congrats to your son! My DH nor my brother were ever in Scouts, but I have heard a lot about it recently from friends with son's in the programs. That is a very big deal - I hope it's a fun day for him and your family! What all are you cooking?

Kristin - yes, I finally made my way over. It was kind-of a cruddy week in RL - my poor little dog got sick after a routine dental cleaning on Monday. Our cra*** vet let her aspirate some fluid during the procedure (they have to be put under anethesia for it), and then when I went to pick her up several hours later, she was obviously in bad shape, and the vet just dismissed it and sent us home! Needless to say, I was only home with her for 5 mins. before we were back in the car on the way to the animal hospital. Long story short, she developed an infection around her lung, and she spent the whole week in the alternate care of the animal hospital and our new and much better vet. It looks like we're on the road to recovery at this point, and each day she starts acting more like herself, thank goodness! But, that cut into my DIS'ing time!

Channing - yes, that S/D thread is not very welcoming, is it? I am torn. Don't tell Disney, but I am holding 3 reservations right now for May, and the clock is ticking to make a decision. I still have the Swan one (which it's pretty definite I'll be canceling), one for a std. view at the AKL, and one for a GV at the GF. Of course, we all know which I'd prefer, but I'm traveling with my mom, and although she really wants to do the GF, she's never done AKL either and is game. There's also a significant difference in the AP rates there. I'm thinking though that I might bite the bullet and keep the beloved GF, and pay some of the difference for my mom as an early Mother's Day present. (MD would be the week after we're there.) Decisions, decisons. I did get an unexpected promotion this week at work, which I also consider a sign that I should stick with the GF!

I need to decide soon, though - any thoughts? I've stayed std. at the AKL before, and although I prefer savannah view, it's not terrible, but I worry about the location some with the AKV construction going on. The trail I prefer to be on with a std. view (that keeps you away from the buses) is the trail that would be likely to experience some noise from the construction. If I could get a pool view at the AKL, that might be a different story, since those rooms would be insulated from the construction, but no other view is available. I'm driving myself a little crazy, as I change my mind frequently!

And more Bare Minerals talk! We have an actual BM store in a mall nearby - if I go in there, will they explain it all to me? I'm a little confused. And would you believe I've never seen one of the commercials? I don't watch that much TV!

There is now a BM store in a mall "near" my house (we live in the middle of no where, about 45-60 min from any mall ) I really wanted to go in and have a look around last night after we saw a movie, but BF said no. He told me I don't need makeup. I don't know if he meant I look fine without it, which would be a lie but , or if he just didn't want me spending money on it, which would be more likely . I may have to sneak back by myself or with friends and have a look around. If it helps your skin I would be all for it!

We saw The Other Boleyn Girl last night. BF suffered through it as he wanted to see whatever that basketball spoof movie is. I didn't reallly care for it. I read the book during our last trip to WDW and it was excellent if you like historical fiction. The movie was so so. The charachters were somewhat different than in the book and the storyline was a bit different. I should stop reading books before seeing the movies. I never like the movies as well.

Ugh, I get to spend the day on the phone with guests for our wedding. Some of them are mad because all WDW hotels and restaraunts are non-smoking. Others are mad because WDW costs money . Some are already planning on spending the WHOLE trip with us, which is a big NO! as far as I am concerned. Finally, one group is mad because on our wedding website there is a section for attire, and I said "Business casual: no t-shirts, jeans or shorts".

Wow - WTG!!!! I need to learn the ins/outs of shopping at CVS. We didn't have them in Texas until a couple of years ago when they bought a more local chain, so I am just not in the groove with them yet. But if you got all that for $8!!!

And thanks for the congrats! So, what do you think I should do about my room?

I'm thinking I might talk to my dad today, and if he's okay with some additional cost for the room at the GF, I may go ahead and book us there, but not tell my mom that's where we're saying. It could be a surprise!

Thanks for the movie review. I really enjoyed the book, so it's good to know the movie doesn't live up to it. (Isn't that how it always is?)

Amy, sorry about the wedding guests. I think we've all had those issues with wedding planning....you can't please them all. It's your day. Too bad people can't just be nice and cooperate. Glad you saw the Other Boleyn Girl before me, haha...we almost saw it Fri night. I also read the book and otehr P Gregory books...I am not so up on them anymore...I find it very hard to like any of the characters the way she presents them....I lOVE historical fiction but she is not my cup of tea. I took FOREVER to get thru the last book of hers I read. I just couldn't empathize with anybody in that book..The Queens Fool - I think it was.

I am so mad I am shaking.....I sold a ton of stuff on Ebay last month and there was this one lady that I was super nice to & went way out of my way for....shipped hers Fed Ex (pain in my butt) held stuff back for her, found other items esp for her per her request....ugh....she seemed all super sweety sweet sweet until today. She even left me positive feedback for most of her stuff, but apparently wasn't happy with 4 or 5 of her items....the whole thing was just over $200....so I said FINE RETURN WHAT YOU DONT LIKE....which seemed more than fair to me since Ebay isn't a store....well haven't heard a peep all week so today I get a paypal notice that she opened a dispute for "significantly not as described" on my items!!! WHat a witch. Several of the items were NEW never worn. Apparently they just don't fit. I am so miffed. And I was SO NICE TO THAT WITCH. Now I have no idea what will happen. She wants all her $200 back but she didn't return the stuff. I want it back. Why should she get to keep it and expect her money back too!? I HATE EBAY at this point and Paypal I know sucks so I am expecting to get totally ripped on this deal. I have been selling on Ebay for a few yrs nnow and never had an issue or buyer like her. Total nutball. I ahve all positive feedback and when she first complained to me about NEW ITEM I thought I'd rather take the neg feedback hit than suck up to her again. Now this crap. Happy Sunday to me.

That stinks, Channing. What is wrong with people? I think you were more than nice. Ugh, don't get me started on how horrible and nasty and entitled people can be...

I liked the book The Other Boleyn Girl, but I know what you mean about the charachters being unlikable. I read The Boleyn Inheritance after that and felt like I was slogging through just trying to finish. I never liked any of those charachters.

My wedding would be perfect if it were just me and BF He is the only one I am not having wedding issues with. Maybe I should tell the some of others (the bad ones), "oh, Disney has a no guest policy" .
