Do you like dried out cold fish?! :rotfl2:

It really was bad the night we were there....

The best place to see any princess...food wise.. is 1900 park fare IMO...
the steps were great with the kids... they tone it down a great deal with the little ones and even danced with some of the girls... hopping up and down and being clumsy the whole time. When we were there they weren't mean scary but mean funny if that makes sense?!

Curiousity has me wondering... what country do your in laws live in?

I've been hearing some really negative things about food at Norway. Is it really that bad? Would a European enjoy the fare there? I swear, my husband will eat things that I had no idea existed.

We are doing 1900 PF for dinner on our arrival day. Has anyone done that? We wanted to see Cinderella right away as well, for my younger daughter. I'm not so sure how she would take to the step-sisters, though.

Rude characters?!?! That is worse than nasty food. Now I am really starting to get scared about Norway ... But where else can we dine with princesses, besides CRT?

I think I am going to make all you ladies jealous. My in-laws live on an entirely different continent, and they don't understand me and I don't understand them. Well, my SILs can speak English, but since I see them maybe once every couple of years, it's not so bad. :rotfl: And my MIL speaks no English at all so she'll just ramble at me in her language and I just sit and smile and she just plies me with food. I love visiting them -- I don't have to socialize with anyone, dh takes care of pretty much everything, and I really get to catch up on my reading. Next time we visit, I may have to take along a cabana boy with me, to keep me company, you know. ;)

Linda

We had bfast there in March & it was actually really good. I am not a big one for a big bfast, but we did enjoy it more than I expected to. They had a buffet of good, fresh fruit and some cold fish:scared: etc...and then brought out family style american bfast foods. We left stuffed & happy. I had dinner there a couple years ago and THAT was scary.

We enjoy the new 1900 PF...the step sisters are a gas. The step mother is so evil it's funny. They won't scare anybody...they're more silly than nasty. The step mother critiques the kids behavior/posture - that type of stuff, but nothing super scary.

We had a wonderful experience in Norway this time. The manager was sooo kind to DD that is visually impaired. He made a point of making sure she had her pic taken alone with Belle (at the front of the restaurant) when he noticed she didn't get into the shot with Jojo....Lucy is self conscious of her white cane and didn't feel comfortable about the whole thing.....Honestly, it was my most magical moment in a long time -- how kind he was. LOL....when he pulled me aside I was nervous because he was FRENCH, haha....thought I was going to in for it with rudeness of some sort, but he was so kind. I am bad.;) Maybe he had the princesses on their best behavior, but they were all charming and sweet to my girls. It was fun.

The worst of it is that we built a house a mile down the road from them because they are getting older and we knew we would eventually have to help them out with things around their house etc. She calls me at night to tell me that my porch light is on and "You do not want to be paying the light company any more than you have to" That kind of stuff all of the time.

.

I am laughing so hard right now. When we got married we bought the house across the street from her parents. The price was great and we couldnt pass it up.
They would always tells us if it was too dark in our front yard or stuff like that.
The funny thing is even though we have a very open door policy for family (and friends too) they hardly ever came over. In 10 years I'd be surprised if they were inside my house more than 20 times (not including holidays) Even one thanksgiving they stayed home (across the street don't forget) while we had some of my family over for dinner.

When we had the vow renewal and her parents found out they were so angry and said I should have told them the secret and they would have gone. I didn't want any chance of Mrs.Mike finding out so I told them even knowing how it turned out I still would have kept the secret from everyone (bad move lol)

Anyway they upset Mrs.Mike so much (wouldn't look at any picstures of the wedding or listen to any stories ) that she decided she wanted to move.
Luckily (excuse wise) we then were expecting our fourth child and told everyone we needed more room. That was true but i think Mrs.Mike would have moved anyway.

: Then my DH's birthday is New Years Days so the funs not over yet!!!! A trip to Disney sounds like the best present I could get.

This is getting to be fun, I feel much better than I did a few hours ago.:rotfl:

Well on New years day we have my BIL only child's b-day. I love him and his wife more than you can say, they are wonderful family but I have very few days off and hate to go anywhere on Jan 1st. His birthday isn't even on the first it is the 5th so I'm always begging Mrs.mike to make them move the party to following weekend.

This dec trip takes care of Christmas and that party in one shot.
Actually we leave Disney on the 28th but I told her not to tell her family and everyone will think we are still in florida! ;)

OK, ya'll... I have been a neglectful Mommy long enough!! I am off to play Candy Land!

Have a Great Weekend!
Kristin

:lmao: your such a good mommy... I am sitting here watching DS10 walking backwards on my treadmill waiting with great glee for the moment he falls off and busts his butt :rotfl2:
The perfect way to describe my boys is the boys on Tool time... so you can SEE why watching him fly off a treadmill for trying to show off will be the highlight of my day :rotfl2:

I booked my summer flights!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes I'm THERE!!:cool1:

My good deal flight going into MCO was gone by the time I had the time to sit down and get it booked it went Poof! So, I changed it that we fly in a couple days earlier (yay!), but fly into Tampa for a good deal. My MIL (speaking of ILs;) ) lives in Clearwater, so I want to get a hotel on Clearwater Beach for that weekend before checking into the YC. Any suggestions??? We usually stay w/her when we go - needless to say, we haven't been in a couple yrs, haha:rotfl: - but it would be much more pleasant & relaxing to stay in a hotel so that is the plan....I am looking at the Sheraton Clearwater Beach Hotel....any yays or nays on it?? I have SPG points so that's why I went Sheraton route.....Suggestions welcome, though!

Thanks for the positives on Sears and Kenmore!!! :thumbsup2

We were there at the GF for Xmas in 2006...

Sorry work has you down.....sounds like you will be leaving soon - so have a great time & enjoy the break.:wizard: That is creepy about the possible shooting.:guilty:

I have to say ( if i never have before ) I love how you describe the GF and your experiences there. You always get me excited (calm down everyone lol) for our upcoming stays there.

I've been working in this pharmacy for about 4 years and I've never seen so many patients die before (besides from illness, that is)
One guy just disaapeared, his friend told us they found people living in his apartment and said they just hadn't seen him latley.
One guy was actually pushed out a window. Many others have died from drug use. It is actually very sad more so than scary sometimes.

I have seen more police roped-off streets and crime scenes than I care to remember. Its like second nature to these people...and that is truly sad.

Thats great channing~ did you go with SWA?
We usually use Delta but SWA is the only one with a direct flight to MCO from here (post Katrina)
so I am using SWA in june.

Mike that sounds so sad .... I guess its part of living in a big city. Luckily I live in an itty bitty town outside of New Orleans... I love going into the city but being there every day would drive me bonkers!

But I can probably 1 up you...

See if we left for Disney instead of staying here for Xmas.. I would get a bawling crying MIL... and major guilt trip. My DH is her ONLY child... and my kids her ONLY grandkids... and she is a cancer survivor but we just dont know for how long she will still be with us (she has been cancer free for almost 20 years now...) and she is *sniff sniff* happy for us to get away and understands HOW important family is... because she LOVES her family so much... but she just doesn't know how she is going to live without seeing her grandbabies during Jesus' birthday :rolleyes1

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

OMG...our mother in laws must be related!!! When we left in February for the cruise she stopped me on the way out and said "I have not told Allen yet (this is my FIL). You know how he gets when you guys decide to leave."

Then we get home and she went on and on about how sad it was because she would look over and there were no lights on in our house. She would then proceed to tell me how awful my FIL acted all week. He was LOST all the time. That is another thing...he gets LOST every day and she calls me to try and see if I know where he is. I want to say " HE IS NOT LOST...HE IS HIDING FROM YOU!!!"

My MIL is the same way. She will call and drive over but only come in the garage. Of course she is brining dinner because she is afraid her poor lil son might not be getting fed that night!!

I also love when she calls and tells me that she thinks DD 3 is constipated and then brings me over 3 gallons of apple juice:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I know that this all probably sounds funny....but it is my daily life.

I will miss them when they are gone but sometimes wish that they would just give me a little room to breathe.

I keep telling myself to remember all of this when my girls get older.

That sounds right up dh's alley! Seriously. And my girls as well. They will eat the strangest things. For instance, the three of them go nuts for octopus. Yes, octopus. And seaweed (although I like that too). And mussels. And anchovies. And sardines. Lots of weird stuff that most Americans won't even touch. So it sounds like they would enjoy Norway, while I would be hankering for a plate of eggs and bacon! :rotfl:

Dh is from Portugal. So yes, ladies, I have my very own Latin Lover. And yes, that reputation is well-deserved. ;)

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: That is hysterical!! I am so glad mine lives in FL (and shhhhh we don't tell her when we go to WDW;) ) My parents live in AZ, so I am set! :thumbsup2 (except when I need a sitter so that DH and I can go away for our 20th anniv .....:guilty: )

Yes, I am a devoted fan of SWA. I honestly feel safest with them than with any other airline. We flew Delta to Hawaii and I had mega panic attacks about that - seriously. Delta freaks me out.:rotfl: They're the ones that werent sure if the plane was too heavy to take off.:rotfl2:

Oh...I LOVE the GF. :cloud9: That is my happy place and where the magic lives.:goodvibes I feel like such a loser when people ask where we're going on vacation...and I have to tell them WDW...but I LOVE the GF.:confused3 I don't want to go anywhere else. (well except the YC;) -that's nice, too:rotfl: )

Gosh, I'd be a neurotic mess if I had to deal with that sadness in my life daily - or the reminder that that type of garbage is a fact of life for people on a regular basis....I don't get it.:guilty: How can people be so viscious to one another? It's sick. :sad2: I think I'd consider looking for a new job if I were you, Mr. Mike. I couldn't handle that atmosphere....I bet Mrs. Mike worries.

I got my planning paper thing from IPO today. When can I turn this in?? I want to get my decisions made and turn it in but will they lose it or does it go into their computer system?? Since we are going for Xmas I want to make sure I get everything I want so I thought maybe the earlier the better. If I do not get what I want I guess I can sick Channing on them. I do not hold a lot of weight at the GF. Good thing I have friends in high places!

I am definately going to pass on the fireworks cruise this trip and will do it for dd's Bday next July. I do not like being COLD and I am sure it will be on the water at night in Dec.

What time is the Disney on a dime special coming on? Gonna make sure we do NOT watch it. Don't want hubby to get any ideas. It is going to cost me $1600 for my private guide :rotfl: :rotfl:

Boy am I ready for Happy Hour with the girls tonight. We will definately be talking about the cabana boy   (sorry Mr. Mike!:) )

Let me just clarify that while I live in NYC boundaries not many people consider where I live, Bayside Queens (or much of queens really) to be part of the city. I could never live in Manhatten..just such a different world.

The pharmacy I work in is in Long Island. Actaully the store is next to the Courthouse...no wonder there are so many criminals around here. (i feel like putting a laughing icon but don't feel its appropriate)

Ok almost 6pm... I guess i should finish my work and get out of here. Thanks for the chat everyone!!

Oh yeah that Disney on a dime is on tonight... that should give me a laugh or 2:rotfl2:

I wonder.... what is the cheapest a family of 4 can go to Disney now?! With or without the dining plan?! anyone.. anyone... we all know Channing would be clueless to this particular question :lmao:

ooohh...DH just called me...He almost missed his flight. We usually park in the parking garage so that is what he was counting on......it was FULL!! He had to try two different econo lots to find a spot and then take the shuttle over to the terminal. His luggage may not be on the same plane! Bummer because the next flight arrives after 9 pm!

Crazy!!! And what is going on with the economy?? I've never ever seen that parking garage FULL.:sad2: People are still travelling -that's for sure.

um, ya - the DDs and i were talking about this earlier. We all think Disney on a Dime would be BORING.:rotfl: :rotfl:

I can't imagine what they can show us for cheap. It's gonna be like that $1600 for a week commercial...you know Pop=Walmart in Value season with no hoppers, no eating in restaurants - bring your own toaster, blender, microwave, fridge:rotfl: :rotfl: etc......

Just in the time. The author's wife of Pop=Walmart is on her way over to my house right now. I will have to definately let her see Disney on a dime!! That thread got way out of hand!! Don't know what you guys thought of it.

Vanessa, OK - did I miss something??!?!? YOU KNOW that Pop = Walmart person!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Seriously??!??:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I got such a kick out of that thread. I thought it was hysterical!!!!:rotfl:
