OK, V help me with the numbers:

No GF = $2000 total (or $3000 including the 2 BCV days?)

If it is $4000 for GV (plus BCV) and $3000 for VWL and BCV, then I would take the garden view (you still get the GF at Christmas, but save some money) If you have never stayed RPC then you don't know what you are missing so GV would be fine, KWIM?

If it is $2000 total for VWL and BCV then I would probably skip the GF altogether. That is a lot of money to save. We were unable to get a discount with the latest round of codes at all. If we didn't get that pin earlier in the year, we probably would have switched to the BC with the discount rather than pay rack at the GF (it would have been to big of a discount to pass up).

FYI: We have a CP package at Teppan Edo also (we love that place!!!!!)

No GF (5 nights VWL and 5 nights BCV) is $2000 total.
I have to pay for 4 nights paying member cash (2 at VWL and 2 at BCV) I do not have enough points for the two weekend nights and I am on a waitlist for Dec 30-31 at BCV so cash if I do not get this.

GF GV is $3400 plus the two nights at BCV $4400
RPC is around $5000 plus 2 nights BCV or $6000

The only positive staying at VWL is that I am in a one bedroom and I do this compared to a regular room.

I am glad to hear you enjoy Teppan Edo. I was glad I was able to get this restaurant compared to the one in Morocco. The pictures of the food in that restaurant looked YUCK!

Anyone here stay at WL during Christmas??

V- I hate to say it, but I think the 1BR is the way to go. The WL is not my vibe, but it would fit the Christmas theme beautifully!!!

We love, love, love (Did I mention that we love ) Teppan Edo!!!! We have gone every single trip (except last year when it was still closed!!! ***- VIP Illuminations was NOT a good trade off!!) DS loves watching them cook, he loves eating with the kiddie chop sticks and he wil try anything and everything there (including seaweed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) It is a must do for us. You made a great choice!!!

Teppen Edo is really good!

V- for that savings I would have a hard time justifying GF (but I would try my hardest to find a way!). The WL would be beautiful at Christmas, though, and the chocolate carousel in the BC lobby is really cool!

Thanks for the support gals. I needed it today! I am going to keep both for now and see how things go. I will probably stick with VWL for the savings since we spent over $20,000 to buy DVC and this is why we bought it. Next July the points for GF are about half so I could do a GF/Vero Beach split.

I just feel guilty blowing that kind of money. I feel very fortunate to be able to go to WDW during the week of Christmas and I am sure no matter where we stay we will have a great time.

I am pretty surprised how easy it has been to switch around ADR's etc for Xmas. I even looked online and WL has all of their room categories available and GF still has GV and also Sugar Loaf. Maybe they will come out with a code...I highly doubt it but a girl can dream.

I am surprised do, but I am not. It has gotten crazy expensive to go that week which seems to be the reason why so many more people are going at the beginning of the month (with me ) than pay those premiums!!!

Us too!! We love it!! I hated that it was closed last year, but WOW they really did a great job on the refurb.! You have to have a tequilla sunrise!! AWESOME!!! The Sushi was great too!!
